X4 Spartan 2.4GHz 4CH 6-Axis Gyro RC Quadcopter Drone with 2MP Camera & Large LED Lights with 3 Additional Extended Batteries

The media could not be loaded. Looking forward to "totally" destroying this thing so I can take the next Quad step up. Bought it to see if I could get the hang of it and I must say I don't think it is easy to fly. But then I think it has forced me to become more of a "hands on pilot." There are times when it has a mind of its own, won't hover in one spot for long. Had a propeller come off at the shaft sleeve. Comes crashing to the ground, hard when it only has three propellers turning. Cleaned the gear grease off the shaft and it held for a few flights. Came off again so I "peened" the metal shaft so it would fit tighter. Seems to be holding. Video is steady if the quad is steady, which isn't very often. Still images are OK but I am usually to busy trying to keep the X4 flying to mess with looking for the shutter switch. Longest flight before it gets away has been maybe a minute and a half. I am lucky since I have acreage to fly it. Don't think the "Heads Up" mode worked from what I can tell. Would have been a good mode to learn to go forward and back - but switching the HU mode didn't seem to change anything.You wouldn't think it was tough, but it is. I only bent one prop when the prop that was coming off in flight dropped the X4 in a dive from about 40 feet. That crash even knocked the camera off the X4 and twisted a prop shield, but it was back in service in no time.I am thinking if I don't pull my hair out before the X4 destructs I will be a damn good manual quad pilot ready for a DJI Phantom 4. I watch those YouTube videos like the rest of you, drooling over those $1400 quads that will actually hover over one spot for more than 2 seconds. I know what I am going to ask Santa for this year. i bought this 2 weeks ago for my husband. it arrived as it's said it would (btw 7/8-12) and it's on 7/8! we took it to our nearby football field the next day to play. if i were to write a review then it would be only 3 stars. b/c the drone refused to follow my husband's command. it dropped to the ground (grass and trail path) several times. this is the first time we're playing with anything that's "flying". it's excited for him but also frustrated. that evening was kind of windy so our theory for this disobedient drone was - maybe the wind affect its direction. (later it's confirmed by my brother.) so far we've been out to the field to play 4 or 5 times. one time it hit a metal fence and the propeller and the "sitting" underneath it clipped to different fence wires. when i saw it i thought "uh oh! it's broken!" as i carefully took them out from the wires the drone was as "healthy" as it was before! we were impressed. my husband said, "they've designed this drone well."it's fun to play with it. but there're some observations from us -1. when the battery becomes low-power the drone might not obey as when it has full power;2. no point to play w it when the wind blows too much. you just need to sense it as time goes by.3. the con part is - to change the battery is kind of hard. my husband always brought the small screw dryer (included in the packet) to get the battery out from its compartment to change.4. we bought the kind which has 3 extra (spared and he ALWAYS made sure to have them all charged) batteries. when the power's down my husband went to change another one. so if you want to play "enough" you should buy extra batteries. each one last ~10min, depends on how you play with it.

Got this for my so fro Christmas an the whole family love it, the extra batteries are great bc you can switch them out an keep on flying just wish you would get more flying time with the batteries, and its very sturdy I was surprised how many times we've crashed an it didn't hurt the drone and the lights are awesome overall great drone.

This DAS X4 Spartan drone is really fun to fly, I had a cheaper quadcopter that was very difficult to fly, this drone is much easier, probably not as stable as a Yuneec or DJI Phantom but at this price point, this is an excellent drone, I am very satisfied!

This was a gift for my Grandson and he loves it.

Bought as a father's day gift. He absolutely loves it. Hasn't stopped playing with it. Really cool how you can throw it and it will turn itself the right way on its own. Syncs up easily. Sturdy. Just simply was a great purchase.
