ODL Brisa Retractable Screen for Single Doors - Tall Height (White)

All the parts were there, it was a little awkward for one person to install alone, and on my particular installation there was a gap along the top between the top track and the door frame. I just stuck some weather stripping in the gap and no bugs can get in now. The door slides ok but you can jam it if you're not careful. It locks fine and the vertical parts of the frame are screwed very solidly into the door frame. It's a good product overall but a little pricey in my opinion.

ODL product purchased online through AMAZON.1) When sliding the screen closed, the top can easily get out of the top rail.2) The stripes to make the screen visible are too high for an average height person (5'11") to be seen. Already tried to walk through the door a couple of times while the screen was closed because it is not visible.The manufacturer should add a couple of stripes also in the middle of the screen or make the stripes vertical so that they can be visible to people of any height.3) I would prefer a regular swinging screen door if it was available on a 36" x 96", the reason I opted for this is because I could not find a swinging screen door of this size.The previous model was 159$ with free shipping, unfortunately it is no longer available, this model is 249$ plus 16$ shipping, it may be a little easier to install but it does not justify 65% jump in the price.It is too early to say how long the roll of retractable screen will last with daily usage.

Great engineering! I'm a 70 year old widow and I was able to put it together and install it by myself. It was an interior application so modifications were needed. I had to strip off the brick molding to achieve flat contact all the way around the flange. I then cut the molding and reinstalled it. The advice of a reviewer to put something on the screen at eye level so that no one would walk through was excellent. However, my dog didn't see the lower line and attempted to run through it. He is only 15 lbs and bounced back. But, I will put a marker on his level also. Great product!

Oh why didn't I order this earlier? I have wanted a retractable screen door for years but the quotes from companies were $450 and up. Finally, I got smart and looked it up. This was super easy to install. Took about 45 minutes total ( including opening box, reading instructions several times). It took maybe 30 minutes for actual installation. Works amazing! The only negative would be the screen isn't very noticeable and the lines to remind you that it is pulled out are very high or low. I just took some colored thread and weaved it in at eye level so no one walks into it.

Its working great to keep the bugs out. its easy to slide and very durable. Screen is very see-through, so you need to be careful with big dogs or kids that might no see it and walk thru it. I had it installed, but the service person said it was easy to install.

Engineer gets and "A" for this design. Easy to install. Quality construction. Fit and finish is very good. Operates easily. Has a couple of faint lines near top and bottom so you can see if the screen is open or shut. Otherwise the screen is nearly invisible and easily crashed into if you aren't paying close attention.l One of the best products I've run across.

Got this for my parents and they love it. Not the easiest thing to install. They ended up having a handyman come and do it for them. But they think it’s the greatest thing and I always notice how nice it is when I go over to their house.

Once you prepare your door frame to acept the brisa it does take just a half hour to install. But it can be a little more than some might anticipate. My biggest problem has been registering the product on line to activate the warranty. It still hasn't happened.
