Hello, Thank you for your question, To answer that, I should point out that the AP-2 is shaped like an oversized guitar that's about 2 inches long and 2 inches wide, and the active element inside is placed over the entire available area of the pickup, thus the entire bottom has the ability to pick up instrument vibrations.
