Compact and powerful.
My wife recently bought a bike for me, since we sold our touring bike and she no longer wishes to ride she just upped my insurance & bought a used Honda XR650l for me, bless her heart. I've been riding for over 50 years on a variety of motorcycles from Hodaka's to Hondas with a few Brit bikes thrown in. I have usually had both a sport bike and a dirt bike of some kind. Forty yeas ago I got married and my wife loves to ride and would swing a leg over anything and go anywhere I would point it, from my TT500 Yamaha to our late great Venture Royale, we've clocked thousands of miles on various Suzuki's, Kawasaki's Triumph's and even a Harley 1200 sportster. Back then Dirt bikes were either Motocross (MX) or Enduro's with a smattering of Trials bikes. Now it is MX and what they call "Adventure tourers" Which are basically 600 pound enduros with suitcases strapped on. Motorcycles used in the dirt are very similar to mountain bicycles in that the key to riding safely and well is almost about tire pressure as much as rider skill. On bicycles you air up those knobbys on the street to 50lbs or so, but when you go off road you drop them into around 25lbs (depending on the tire set up) an over inflated knobby in the dirt will let you know something is wrong in a hurry. Motorcycles are very similar and the tires now are known as 60/40 or 50/50 or some other combination refering to the amount of on and off road riding you intend on doing. The recomended off road pressures are often 15 to 18lbs. And there in lies the rub. On a bicycle, a couple of CO2 cartridges and an inflator that attaches to your Presta or Schrader valve and you can inflate your tires once you are out of the dirt. Not so easy on the much larger volume motorcycle tires. Along comes V1 Motor Portable Mini Air Compressor. just attach one pigtail to your battery and when you need air plug it in, fire it up and you can have your motorcycle tires inflated properly regardless of the terrain. There are multiple connectors, it operates off of 12volts and it makes short work inflating ATV or Motorcycle tires. The Schrader connector on the hose end is a solid unit, unlike many of the flimsy crimped on units on other inflators. The VI is heavy for its size and puts out a lot of air and I imagine it will be functioning long after I am not.I have a small rack on the back of my bike, a waterproof case and now correct tire pressure for my Dunlop 605's.I have always held the belief that good tires on any vehicle, properly inflated is the cheapest insurance you can by. With this dandy tool and a good gauge, all your riding will be optimal.

Small yet "heavy duty". HIgh quality.
Product appears to be high quality; heavy/solid construction including air hose/chuck and wiring.Confident it will work well. This model has a standard 90 degree air connector with a lever to "lock" onto the tire valve. Note that the $7 cheaper model (same company, plastic motor housing) requires you to "screw on" the hose to the tire valve stem (awkward).Size is not much larger than ~5 CO2 cylinders; so having a real pump seems like a better choice than a "one time" CO2 inflation method. Plus, if it's a slow leak one could just "air up" frequently instead of Requiring a Roadside repair Plug kit. Now I have both.

Awesome little compressor
Bought this for emergencies only...second time out with it in my saddle bag and picked up a nail. This and a plug kit saved me from needing a tow. This compressor worked great pumping my rear 21 Goldwing tire up from almost empty. Would highly recommend and will not ride without it ever again!

Peace of mind
I have two of these, one for each of my motorcycles. I also have two tire repair kits, so I know I can reinflate my tires after plugging them if I get a flat and have to do an emergency fix. I have repaired one rear tire and inflated it with the Mini Air Compressor. Worked great.

Perfect and Reliable -
After researching battery powered options…I asked myself….do I really need Another thing to make sure is charged. And I wanted one with the traditional connector- Not- a Twist on where you lose pressure did-connecting.This basic little unit may not be pretty, but it works really well and fast on my KLR 650 where I very the tire PSI per on vs off road.Do run the bike while using if you’re filling up the tire significantly. It works better with full current. Oh and it has a quick connect option for ez battery connection.

Had to do some work on it to make it safer, but it works.
I do like the product however there were somethings I consider safety concerns (mostly electrical) I ended up splicing an ATC fuse holder into the cord (there was no fuses anywhere on the pump) I did this as it normally connects directly to the battery and the two connection points for the motor are exposed so it wouldn't take much to short out the pump. I carry this pump on my dual sport motorcycle where rain and mud and not only expected but sought after. I also ended up covering the pumps motor connectors with electrical tape for the the same reason I added a fuse. I don't want to get 7.5 amps dumped into me if I happen to short out the connections with my hand or other parts of the motorcycle. Now I will say it does work and I can air up my tires as needed and while I've not had to do a complete inflate from empty there is no reason the pump shouldn't work as needed. I did remove all the screws and thread locker them just because I I do that for just about everything I put on or carry on my motorcycle that can vibrate your teeth right out of your head on long rides.

Great little compressor with a bit of extra care...
I use this for dirt bike riding. It puts out plenty of air to refill a tire on the trail.... however, I would take the screws out and put it back together with blue locktite before counting on it. I had carried mine around for about 3 years before I needed to use it the first time. When I took it out of the case it was in pieces from lots of vibration. Needless to say, it didn't do me any good that day. But on many subsequent occasions it has served me very well after reassembly with the aforementioned locktite.
