Motor died within a week's time. It began with a loud rattle for about three days, and then it stopped working. I was able to get a quick refund when I returned it with no issues. The company was great, but the item was not.

Bought it for my wife, works in a cube farm. she loves it!

while I love the concept and the visual fun it provides, after it's on for a few minutes it starts making a really loud motor noise, which takes away from the whole "calming fish" idea

I purchased one of these at CVS. It was $9.99 also. It's cute but man was it LOUD! After about 5 minutes it became so loud it was annoying other people in my office. I took the back off and put some padding between the motor and the case and that quieted it down some. Luckily now it's quiet as a mouse and still operates properly. The motor may be slowed down a hair, but the fish still move.

I bought one a CVS and it stopped working by it's third use. The noise is loud on it although that didn't bother me too much. If it hadn't stopped working all the sudden I would have enjoyed it very much.
