I ordered this filter for my Austin Air PET machine. I hadn't replaced the filter in a while as the price of the filters was absolutely unreasonable. When I first bought the machine the filters were about $200 now they go for $500!! This filter was a great price and works perfectly! Quality of air has improved amd I definitely noticed a difference. Definitely recommended!!

Fit perfectly into my Austin Air Health Mate unit. I placed the filter in 1st. Then I linned up BOTH pre-filters, bent them into a circle and nudged them into the tight space around the filter. I began nudging one end a few inches, worked my way around, doubled up the ends and nudged them in. I repeated this as I'd push the filter to the opposite side by a few hairs but just enough to keep nudging a few inches at a time. I was able to get my fingers into the corner spaces to do the most nudging downward till both filters were fully inside the unit and surrounding the new filter. I placed the black filter on top because my unit is black and the tiny air holes tend to show the filter a bit so may as well match. For white or off-white units, place the white prefilter towards the outside of the unit if also using the black prefilter. So, I've been running my unit 24-7 for one week with this new label filter. I'm very satisfied as evidence by not needing to dust up fine dust off my black carved out headboard. I live near the freeway so fine particles and dust is an issue even with screens on my windows. Plus I have two awesome dogs who sleep in my bedroom. I suffer from alergies so good air quality is critical, as it should be for everyone. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this filter and super happy to save a lot of money. Brand name filters are overpriced just because a manufacturer has their own models. I'm so glad there's finally some competition and more people can afford better air quality, for their health and well being.
