Let’s just be real and admit that these things DO NOT WORK for models that are MAX or larger than the base model. While it held it in place, once I removed my MagSafe-compatible phone case, it wouldn’t have survived a bumpy ride or a few hard turns barely holding onto my 12 Pro Max. LUCKILY I bought it from Amazon resale so I saved $10 from the promo price so I’ve decided to keep it because it’s actually a quite effective stand with- or without my phone’s case. Definitely sturdy enough to hold my phone upright while I’m in the kitchen or next to my iPad when I’m writing and need to keep my phone up for quick reference.All in all, if your phone is the STANDARD size iPhone then you’ll be safe with it but with the weight of my Pro Max, even the thickness of my Volvo’s vertical vent partition wasn’t effective enough to secure it without it sliding off slowly. Happy accident I can repurpose it as a lightweight travel/night stand while it charges on its side so it’s a keeper if you can get one resale/open box for cheap!

Item descriptions says compatible with iPhone 15 but the box says otherwise. Think a 15 and 16 model are too heavy

Did not hold up with my otterbox symmetry case. Also is not great on a jeep wrangler car vents due to the shape of the vents. But I purchased an off-brand case and the magnet sticks well even over bumps on the highway!!!
