Why didn't I think about buying this earlier!?!?! I had purchased a great faux suede dog bed awhile back for my two 60 lb dogs to fit into together. BUT they quickly turned the bed into a giant chew toy. So this time around I finally smartened up and bought this Natural Chew Deterrent Spray along with a replacement bed. Bingo! My investment in an expensive dog bed is now protected and pups are just as happy to nap in the bed as they were before. Tip: spray down your item to be protected and let dry in the sun. The icky taste will be reactivated as soon as Pupper's saliva wets the item.

I was So desperate I needed A quick fix my 8 month old yorkie is chewing on my wood furniture my doors and bathroom cabinets i sprayed this stuff in those areas and This stuff stinks so bad it’s a very strong smell even I can’t handle . It worked for 2 days and she was back at it again. Don’t waste your money . I ended Up using tapatio hot sauce mixed with cayan pepper that worked for weeks just apply it every week . This deterrent is trash !!! I felt Bad afterwards because dogs are sensitive to smell and I know This deterrent made her sick too because she threw up 2 days later . The hot sauce doesn’t make her sick she just stays away as soon as she licks the hot sauce she stops !!! Don’t waste your money on this deterrent

My puppy couldn't stand the smell of this, so it did its job! She'd roll around trying to get away from it...all dramatic-like. But it lasts less than a minute. Then she'd be right back chewing on the piece of furniture or cord. It's a shame cuz it does work. But it's impossible to sit around with the bottle in hand 24/7 re-spraying every minute. So ultimately, it does not work. I couldn't spray it on the few things I don't want her to chew and leave her alone thinking I've solved a problem. I didn't.

Wish it were a little stronger. Have to reapply often. Does a good job though.

This product just hasn't worked for us. We have a 2 1/2 year old mini schnauzer that insists on chewing his bedding, even after practically saturating the crate mat. The smell is plenty disagreeable, but he doesn't seem to care. We've used this for at least two weeks, often on a daily basis, to no avail. We were hopeful this would work, since we've spent a small fortune on crate mats/bedding. (Our other mini schnauzer and two other, older dogs outgrew the chewing stage.) Now he sleeps on a bare crate floor with a ratty towel which we replace once it's chewed up.My last comment is on the bottle itself. It comes with a sprayer, but there is NO cap for the sprayer. Yuck. I recommend that this be added to the product before sending out to buyers.

Our new lab puppy chews just everything she can see in our house! I bought this spray to stop her destructive behavior. I have sprayed it on everything she can reach, such as shoes, furniture, and her favorite -- electrical cords. This spray has worked like a charm so far and stops her from chewing. She does not seem to like the smell very much, which I believe is tea tree oil. As for the taste, I can't say if she doesn't like it or not because just the aroma sends her away from off limit items and she does not return to it.

I have a new puppy and wanted to spray small area rugs that she wanted to chew and move around. I sprayed all over the rugs and it had no effect whatever. She continued to happily chew the rug edges and attempt to drag them around. Sorry, I wanted it to work but it just didn't.

Only works for my dog when it is wet. Once it dries she just goes about chewing the rattan webbing on my out door furniture and licking my couch and toilets.
