I have not yet see or purchase other brand so I can't really do the proper comparison. But I can give you my initial impression of this one. The brass seem to be decent quality with clean casting. The color is deep (which I prefer) and pricing is good. Pretty happy with the purchase.

I do think this is overpriced in terms of the materials and time that went into making it. That being said, it arrived in excellent condition, as advertised, and it looks great. I have had it hanging up for several months, and it has not unraveled or shown any fraying, etc. I use it as a feng shui luck ornament, and I have to say that since I adopted feng shui as my system of decor, my luck has greatly increased. This little ornament is only one part of a bigger decorative scheme, so I have no idea how much of a role it has played. But I have been lucky enough financially to be glad about purchasing it, even though I grouse about the price. I would purchase it again, and if the feng shui experts call for such ornaments in the coming year, I will purchase more.
