I got this game for my 8 year old. Not only does he love it, but I, 44yr old, love it as well!! Very addictive! Highly recommend

My son is 5 and he likes the game a lot. He is pretty good at picking up on learning things like this so some kids might struggle a bit. I think it’s meant for maybe 6 or 7 year olds and up

I remember when my brothers would race "slot cars" about a million years ago. But I was too little and couldn't play. Now at age 52, I can race cars too! The graphics on this are just incredible. There are sooo many different tracks and different cars. There are surprise "blind boxes" that have cars in them that can be purchased with tokens that are made by playing races. This game makes a person feel as if they are the same size as the Hot Wheels cars they are racing.. but are in rooms that are full of objects made for big people. It is a real "honey I shrunk the family small enough to really enjoy Hot Wheels cars" moment. I can see kids easily being able to play this one with little to no frustration. But I can also see family being able to stand around and take turns playing trying to beat each other's times... or see someone who is laid up in bed and unable to do much having a ball zooming around in these great looking little cars. I have a developmentally disabled adult son and can't wait to show him that he can "drive the cars" all by himself if he wants to next time he is here. I very much recommend this game. There's a lot of fun packed in this one game box. :)

I was really hoping my kid would love this game. Its pretty unbalanced and frustrating for kids, even with the AI set to easy. As an adult with years of gaming experience, I was able to overcome most of the challenges, but even then, there were a few Time Trials I had trouble with.The track builder is horrid. Not that the tracks themselves don't work, or that there isn't the possibility to make cool tracks or anything, but the tool itself is really poorly designed and confusing. It is not intuitive at all. There were many occasions where my kid would come to me saying the track wont save, or whatever and its because it let him build invalid tracks with missing connections, etc. An hour later, he's asking me for help and I'm trying to edit it into a working track and it won't let me because it wants everything to connect the way it wants, but its not possible. So then I have to overhaul the whole thing just to fix one or two misplaced bits in the middle. For a track builder that is so robust, they really should have a better way to put things together, and save partial tracks to edit later, etc.The online multiplayer is WAY overly competitive, and clearly dominated by adults with nothing but time on their hands to pwn kids. The game itself is fine, if you're a teen or adult, but this really seems like it should be for kids. I guess I've just become the oblivious parent finally.
