Platinum 100' Expandable Hose, Strongest Expanding Garden Hose on the Planet. Solid Brass Ends, Double Latex Core, Extra Strength Fabric, 2016 design

I bought this hose on Aug 12. It's Oct 11 & it has already developed a pin sized hole. The add for this product says it has a 12 month guarantee. I went to have it replaced/exchanged & Amazon says "the return window was 30 days & expired Sept 12". We just got back from a 3 week vacation. Soooo essentially the hose lasted 5 weeks. That's obnoxious. I'll be calling Amazon directly in the morning & pointing them the the manufacturer's guarantee on Amazon 😡 Pretty bummed considering it was $70!!Had high hopes for this hose. I've had other "pocket hoses" in the past & they all fail routinely. I.e: the longest I've had one last was 6 months. The shortest, 2 weeks and was only the third use. This brand seemed better quality from the get go. I fully expected it to last more than a month. The good news is that it's just a pin sized hole & the hose still works despite it. When "Pocket Hose" pops it's a violent burst & the entire hose is toast at that point. This one is still usable, for now.Truth at the end of the day is that expanding hoses are a great idea, but in my experience across the board in this industry they haven't worked out the glitches yet. When they can construct these in a way that they REALY don't pop they'll be great. Until then I'm done with shrinking/expanding hoses. This is my 6th hose from my third manufacturer.

With the price tag I was exepecting a quality hose & instead was disappointed that when I first turned it on there were several holes. So many punctures in fact it impacted the pressure of the water and sadly I will be returning this item. :(

I bought the hose because I was frustrated with the others getting crystallized and hard to handle. After a few uses, the hose started leaking all over. I was disappointed.

This hose is working just fine after several months, but I am disappointed with how much wear there is on the material. It snags on the concrete when I drag it to do my watering and now has places all over where the fabric has pulled. It's very difficult to drag it because it catches on everything causing snags. It hasn't burst on me, which is good, as one of the other brands I bought only lasted a month. The company could do with finding better material for the exterior of this hose. Otherwise it's fine.

UPDATE, May 2017: I am contacting Quality Source Products about the Platinum 100' Expandable Hose that I purchased in August of 2016. It is approximately 9 months later and the hose has sprung a leak on the body. The hose was described to have an "indestructible double layer latex core" and a 12 month warranty for manufacturing defects. We've taken very good care of the hose. We always drain all as much of the water out as possible after use, not leave it in the sun, and we took it inside for the winter.The product description provides that we should contact Quality Source Products through Amazon for a warranty claim. We believe that the manufacture of the latex core was defective and eventually gave out.Original review was 5 stars, lowered to 1 until response received.ORIGINAL REVIEW, August 2016: Just fantastic so far. We've been using this for a few weeks now and we love this. I'm not sure how long it will last, but I will most definitely purchase this again. The only issue I have is how easily the fabric snags. However, that issue is very minor, considering how light weight this is and how is contracts into a nice short length after we're done watering at the end of our driveway. It was an incredible hassle previously trying to haul back our 100 ft Flexzilla hose, which was already lighter than the standard 100 ft garden hose.It seems well made and the connectors seem very durable.

Paid $99 for this hose 23 months ago. I have enjoyed using it, and it has performed exceptionally well. I hoped I was getting a hose that would last for much longer than my previous expandable hoses, but to my dismay, it just blew out. I'm not sure what the design flaw is that exists in these expandable hoses, but none of them seem to last, even if you pay premium prices for them. I see now that this hose is selling for half of what I paid. Maybe the faulty design is the cause for lack of sales??? I am considering buying another, but this time I will get the 4 year extended warranty for only $5. Maybe that way I can get double the years of use.

Loved the convenience of the hose but after 6 weeks of light outdoor use one of the two hoses developed two major holes. The second hose has performed just fine.
