Stays in place and very well made for the price!
What a fantastic product. It is a very well machined product and made of aluminum but strong enough to do the job well. The tool fits just right without any slack and stays put in place. Those that complain about it probably don't know how to use this tool right. I'm impressed by the quality and affordable price. It sure beats Park Tool equivalent which is about three times as expensive and performs the exact same way. I even used this tool with my torque wrench and it did a superb job. I highly recommend this tool to anyone.

Must Have Tool
This is my third shimano bottom bracket tool. LOL. Come on Shimano, standardize you stuff. LOL. This tool fits the smaller size external bottom bracket bearings. I have only used it once. Works like it should. I will probably only use this once a year. But you gotta have it. Price and quality was right for an infrequently used tool. No regrets buying this.

It worked
Great tool for BBR60 bottom bracket.

Works but doesn't stay on my ratchet.
It fits, it works, but it doesn't stay on the ratchet. I put some of the poster tack on the ratchet to keep it from falling off. Inexpensive and does what you need, loses a star for not staying put.

excellent bottom bracket tool
Worked great, fit perfectly and didn't mare the finish of the bottom bracket

They didn't machine the 3/8 drive portion
The bottom end of this bracket fit a Bbr60 perfectly, unfortunately they didn't machine the other end of the socket for a ratchet, they just left it round. The copy that I got is unusable.

Not the best version of this tool
Bought this for a bb and disc rotors, wouldn't work with everything. First issue was that I remove bottom brackets with a long handle ratchet, my ratchet wouldn't fit in the tool and ended up stuck about halfway in. The regular length that I use for installs was a very tight fit. Both ratchets are US made, high quality tools that have never had a problem fitting before. While a file can/did solve the problem, that shouldn't be necessary. This wasn't deep enough to remove a rear wheel locking and the cheap shimano steel lock rings are too thin for thus to work. The teeth that fit in the notches are slightly recessed just enough to slip off. Worked perfectly fine for fitting the bb, and for installing the new xt aluminum locking, but it's use is more limited than it should be
