best accessory ive ever purchased for a video game device or console. actually probably the best money ive ever invested in my video game endeavors. no installation, no set up, no complications finding your memory, games play great from the drive, games load quickly, and is so stupid easy to find and maneuver. just format the drive when you first plug it into the console, which takes all of 2 minutes and your set. theres even option on how to download to either your console or the ext. drive. Seagate designed this FOR the xbox perfectly and flawlessly done for an xbox console. im astonished something involving video games has actual craftsmanship and thought out usage methods. worth every penny. Undervalued and would have no prob paying $200.00 for the sheer effectiveness and ease. only thing to note is, the usb should be plugged into the SS drive in the back of your xbox one console, which is stated in the instructions which you wont need.

I have over 100 games, 30 which are One X enhanced. After installing every game I own I still have 50% free hard drive space. I have to buy a lot more games before storage is ever an issue again.An external hard drive is an essential purchase for every Xbox owner. But it’s really upsetting so many people have trouble with their Seagates.Mine is going strong after 3 months. Its a great product while it’s working. I’ll update this if it fails.-----------------UPDATE: After 6 months it's still going strong. There have been absolutely no issues and I couldn't recommend it more. The speed difference between the main console and the external is indistinguishable. And I don't see any signs of it failing. I don't know, did the other reviewers store their external hard drive ON TOP of your console? Did you overheat your hard-drive? (it actually is very tempting, the cord is pretty short and the green is a bit garish).The built-in Xbox hard drive space is very, very limiting. Get a hard drive, it is a huge improvement, especially if you're doing something like GamePass. Just download EVERY GamePass game. Then they're ready to go. More importantly, I have Xbox Live. It's monthly, it's expensive, and it basically does one thing: let's me stay in contact with my friends. If both my friend and I have data storage issues, we will never play games together with busy schedules. Without this I might say "hey let's play Forza" my friend will "I uninstalled it yesterday" and then we don't catch up. It's dumb. This is a must buy....also i bought one for my friend.

I am soley using this hard drive for external storage for gaming. It was extremely easy to install. With this being listed as a 2TB storage device, it has a usable 1.9TB disk space available. Having used Seagate external hard drives in the past I knew I was receivinga quality product.To install, simply unbox the Seagate drive, plug it into the USB port on the back side of your console. Power on the gaming console and follow the onscreen formatting promt. It was setup in a matter of 2 minutes and I did it all myself without the need of a tech savvy teenager.I found this unit equally priced through other online retailers, but being a prime member it was a no brainer to get it next day shipping for free.Overall extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Had this hooked into my xbox for 3 years now and it always works great when I'm using it

I love this for its storage capacity and install was painless, but I wish I didn’t have to transfer my games back and forth from it and my Xbox S. It’s partially my fault. I didn’t do deep research and the reviews I read had me thinking I could play the games from it.

I’ve played video games since the Nintendo 64 so I know the annoyance of storage issues. This was more than enough for my 100+ games ranging for small like Stardew Valley to large like Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s the perfect size for gamers who have a large variety of games. Extremely easy to set up and with a long warranty as well.
