RAM Mounts No-Drill Laptop Mount for the Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra, Yukon & Hummer H2 (RAM-VB-159-SW1)

I got this computer stand for my husband for an anniversary gift (I know, I'm so romantic!). He has to travel a lot for work and this mount is just what he needed. He used to keep his laptop on the center console of his Chevy Silverado Truck and needless to say, it didn't leave him much room to use. The Ram Mount is well built and was easy to set up. I purchased the screen support separately to help with any screen 'flopping' issues. I think his only complaint is that it does jiggle around a bit but I suppose that's expected since it doesn't come with it's own shock absorbers. The passenger seat is still able to be used with comfort. The Ram Mount just swivels out of the way and in his case, OVER the center console in case of airbag deployment. For anyone contemplating getting a vehicle computer mount, this Ram system is a well built, easy to use and economical choice.

I had previously purchased a more less expensive computer mount in which I returned as soon as I could pack it up. A friend told me about the Ram. I am using the Ram typing this review and will add, it is far above all the rest. It perfectly fit my 2012 GMC truck. The construction and material is strong with being able to adjust it to fit your need. I used the added attachment to support the floor mount which eliminated any shaking while driving. I would recommend this product.

I've always been a fan of Ram Mounts, and this is no exception. I put this in a 2012 Chevy Tahoe and was actually very easy to install. Putting the mount together to begin with wasn't quite as easy as installation, but I made it through that part. Handles my 17" laptop like a champion and even gives me the ability to attach switch boxes (with a little DIY) for my light bar and off road lights. Highly recommend!

Instructions could be better, but product is excellent. Lay it all out and take your time, well worth it. Well made and designed.

Once installed the laptop mount works great. The laptop moves around so it can be viewed by the driver and/or the passenger. The directions were lacking in detail so it took some time to figure out how to assemble everything. Also, I would not recommend the laptop be located anywhere except over the console while the vehicle is in motion as it would be extremely hazardous if it got in the way of an airbag deployment.

Complicated install but worth it. Sturdy and rugged. Glad I spent the money on this one. Makes my job so much easier.

Would not accept a return of an unopened product. The product page was not clear on which truck models it fit.

Holds my 17" Macbook Pro, Very firmly with minimal sway. The spring hits on the square tube occasionally making a slinky noise. I taped the spring down to the square tube and it stopped the noise
