Extremely pleased with the fire opal.I have darker toned,, thick, long, coarse/thirsty curly hair that has become very “mousy” in color. While I know this dye would be much more vibrant on blonde or bleached hair I’m not willing to damage my hair to get the effect. I was hoping for a nice subtle color shift that wasn’t too overwhelming and left my hair looking and feeling healthy and this stuff 100% did the job. In the sun it really pops, indoors it gives a nice subtle luster.Despite having thick/thirsty nearly waist length hair - one container easily completed my whole head (i was a little nervous I might run out partway through so was cautious about not using too much early on and had plenty left to really slather it on at the end.No harsh chemical smell, actually though it smelled mildly minty. Did not damage my curls, left hair feeling soft and healthy. Curious to see how long the color lasts but I would absolutely buy again as part of my periodic hair maintenance and definitely recommend!

love this color!i grew tired of having to mix 3 different arctic fox shades for the color i wanted just for it to last 2 months (weekly hair washes). i switched to lunar tides, but their color faded even faster, so I would have to dye my hair every month.this color is exactly what i'm looking for AND it lasts over 3 months before i consider coloring again. it does not BUDGE. also, i would usually have to buy 2 - 3 jars/bottles of color with other brands, but with this, i only have to buy 1 jar for bra strap length thick curly hair.i wouldn't recommend this if you like to switch up your hair color a lot, but if you like sticking to 1 color for a while, this is for you.

I've been dying my hair colorful colors for a couple years and have still been searching for a brand that I love. I ordered a few Colors from this brand after reading reviews and absolutely loveeee how my hair turned out! It's only been a few days, but so far so good!

The color and application are great. Very thick and gives excellent coverage. Color was very intense, and it seems to be lasting a long time. HOWEVER, this product stains everything and does not come out of hair easily - even when you are trying to wash it out. My daughter's neck was stained purple for a week. Every morning I would clean her neck and by the next morning it was purple again.

The colors are easy to apply and they lasted me about 2 wks with regular washing of the hair. Hair was soft, no bleach required. Definitely recommend for a bright temporary color that doesn't damage your hair.Just careful when applying and the color resting parts to not get it on skin. It is a pain to wash off. My 10yr, so I should have prepared better, managed to move so much while resting that she had it all over her neck and shoulders. While applying we were good, but ADHA child can't just chill between applying and rinsing. Luckily she didn't get it on furniture or her clothes.

I have dyed my hair dozens of times over the last few years and never have I come across dye that stains like this. I have washed my hands ~20 times and they’re still a vibrant blue, I’ll be wearing concealer on my face and neck for the foreseeable future, and the state of my tub suggests that I’m not getting my security deposit back. I’m happy with the color and everything but it even stained the shower FLOOR. everywhere the dye touched, even diluted with shower water, instantly stained. Attached is a photo not of hair but of the stain left behind. It even stained my body as it rinsed out (sincerely, my chest is blue now, there’s a streak on my face, even my toenails are tinted blue). This is insane. Going back to the cheap stuff that doesn't even stain my skin asapColors cute though, & for reference I have thick hair a bit past my shoulders & used around 2/3 of a jar.Update 2 weeks and 3 washes later: every shampoo still looks like I offed a Smurf & stains my hands a bit, it’s getting super annoying. The color has completely washed out of all of my “virgin” hair but is staying fairly well in most of my hair that’s previously been bleached or dyed.

Update:After seeing this review, the company reached out to me and offered a full refund which I truly appreciate. 5 star customer service and customer response.I have been dying my hair with semi-permanent vivids for a long time. Close to 16 years. I've used lots of brands and sometimes I like to change it up. This one looked like it was a great purple so I wanted to give it a shot. I used gloves and did all the things you're supposed to do before coloring your hair at home. Like I said I've been doing this for a while. I have never experienced one bleed this much ever. The staining on my shower is more than I've ever seen. The picture was after cleaning it twice. The picture of my purple hand is from me putting my hair in a ponytail today. Just touching my hair, that is dry, transfers color. I went to bed with dry hair last night and woke up with my neck completely purple. Thank God I have black sheets! I'm having to be careful to not get my hair on anything like my sofa or on my t-shirt. In my 16 years of doing my hair I have never experienced something this bad. It's so bad that it actually thinking about using a clarifying shampoo tonight just to try and get the bleeding to stop! I'm super bummed because the purple is amazing. It's a great color. But man, I am completely regretting using this and I am not sure what I'm going to do to keep myself from looking purple for at least a week.To top it off anywhere at rinsed on my body last night with stained purple and I had to scrub pretty hard to get it off. And then I started getting an allergic reaction to anywhere that it touched. I really do not recommend this product unless you are totally okay with your body and all your things being the color of Barney.

Finally ..a purple that comes out dark yet bright and not a pinkish purple. It's more blue purple which is fine. Worth the price. Looking forward to trying more colors.
