I bought this to do a variety of my electrical work I have not burned anything on mine yet but it feels durable. You just need to unroll and let it flatten out, it took mine a little bit to do this

I use this Mat at my fly tying bench. It’s grippy, it has an edge to keep things from rolling away, it’s got holes to stick tools in and the little tray holes in the top are magnetic which is nice for holding hooks and razors. It also has a ruler running along to top which is nice for getting quick measurements. I was going to buy a bead mat or something from hareline but I actually think this mat is way more useful. It also makes it easy to move where I’m tying (if I want to move over to the coffee table or something). Also when it’s dirty you can just pick it up and shake it out into the trash. Or run a lint roller across it to get it really clean. Super useful for fly tiers or really anyone crafty.

This mat works well when soldering. It does not burn and makes it easier to keep things better organized with the individual compartments at the top. I constantly use it when splicing wires together with or without soldering. It's just the right size. It's light weight and easily cleanable.

This thing is perfect size and quality material.

It get's messy and doesn't stay black for long, but it does what it says at a good price, and I love the grooves for screws and parts.

I originally wanted a little magnetic pad to keep track of screws during a project, but I ended up finding this as a recommended item instead and thought it would have more utility than just a tiny magnetic pad. This is a large size silicone surface which is perfect for my mechanical keyboard hobby. It provides a soft area to place fragile pcbs and an easy to wipe off surface when lubing switches. There are many compartments to place the different parts of key switches or screws and a few small magnetic pockets for smaller screws. Its heat resistant material is also great when soldering switches as well. I wanted a different color, like a lighter shade, so I can see screws easier, but this size only came in black, which is gives it a nice clean look, but harder to see small screws. I didn't thinking about having such a surface to fix up keyboards and have been risking multiple desk mats as my surface. Very happy with this product.

Gathers dust and debris like there is no tomorrow but easily cleaned with an alcohol wipe. I can't speak for its thermal properties as I use it for cellphone repair but very good mat nonetheless.
