Not realy what I was hoping for.
The reason I bought them... After several years without this trouble, I have been "wearing out" ear buds, by which I mean one side of the pair would stop working, in about 3 months. I was looking for a more durable pair. What's good... they do seem to be pretty durable and with the ear loop/wrap things they stay in my ears better than any ear buds I have ever owned. What's so-so... the sound. Not much high. Not much low. IMO best for spoken word, which is fine for me.What's annoying... the wires. Man are they stiff. I tend to carry my mp3 player in my breast pocket of clipped to the front of my shirt, which means I require a shorter than normal cord. With previous ear buds I've been able to wrap the excess cord into a bundle to shorten the cord. Not with these. The cord is too stiff to bundle AND because the cord is so stiff when unbundled it maintains the "switchbacks" resulting being tied up with a "twisty" at the factory, so it sticks out in all directions getting caught on anything that happens to be near... my watch, the door handle and gear shift in my car, bushes. I've had them a while now and the cord shows no sign of "relaxing." I even lay the cord in the sun on my car dashboard for an hour (ear buds where in the shade). No relaxing occurred.I have not had them very long, but so far both ears still play.

Fair but not advisable if your an active person.
I've rated this product two stars based on a few critical design issues. The first, and perhaps the most important are the ear buds. The manufacturing is solid giving the buyer a high level of expectation. However, the earbuds with the wrap around cord (this cable follows behind your ear), often elevates up causing your earbud to fall out. This is especially bothersome if you are an active person using your earbuds while biking, running, etc. The only way to prevent this from occurring is to use their provided tie, coupling the cord under your neck. For anyone active (or not) this is very uncomfortable. The second issue is the mini jack. The mini jack has a bulky rubberized piece surrounding the plug. This rubberized piece makes for a sturdy plug, but if you have a protective case on your mobile device (iPhone -- in my case) the protective case and mini jack are not compatible (at least in my case) causing the mini plug to slip out.

Failed after 2 weeks
They were okay, then the left side failed after just two weeks use. The case is pretty cool though -- but not for $20.

Earbuds
First off, I am a Bluetooth person. So I'm negative about any wired headphones. That said, not much too complain about with these. From the unboxing, I could see this is a piece built to last. The earpieces fit like a hearing device. Takes a little longer to set in place, but once in place, you don't have to waste more time adjusting them later. Running, working out, on the job, you should not have to worry about fiddling with them unless the cord is pulled hard. This also lends to noise cancelling ability. With them on and my mobile device volume set 75% or so, I could not hear my kettle whistling from a couple feet a way. That's not saying the sound quality is on an elite status, just that the in ear design with over ear loop work on two "fronts". As for sound? Good. It is obviously not superb at this price point, but it is more than expected. You can not hear the wings of the fly on the wall in the recording studio in the background, but Come On! These do the job well enough for most who want to be able to enjoy music without shoving them back into place twice a song and having to rework the budget to afford them. Plus they are literally in your ear, the sound I get from these is enough to hurt my ears in a very short time at high volume, or with particularly loud/harsh songs. The case is quality enough to remain a companion throughout the life of the earphones, with basic care. Again, I can not speak for the internals this early, but everything I can see and touch seems built to last. If you can secure the cord without it being pulled substantially (not tugged), they will stay set. Same goes if you only use one, the weight of the dangling one will not pull the other out....even if you are goof dancing all alone. You know what I mean! Bottom line. When my Bluetooth is charging, or I just need to plug and go without worrying about it, these work great. The biggest plus is they are not going anywhere once you set them in place, and the look and feel is an upgrade from run of the mill "earbuds". Needed in anyone's headphone rotation. As a primary or when Bluetooth is down. These do not disappoint. Unless you are an elite level audiophile!! When set deep in ear bass and treble find that "zenith" almost all you want at any price point.Disclaimer:I received this product on a promotional discount or for free for my honest review and they are 100% my own opinions. I received no compensation for this review and I am not required to give a good review. I am also not associated with the seller in any way.

Might be ok - updated = they are not
first of all - I was not given a discount or given it for free for my opinion - I spent $17.99 a day ago, and as I am writing my review I see amazon has it on a daily deal right now for $12.99 (thanks amazon!) The product is packaged well, I like the case to store it, I like the braided cord, hope it makes it last longer , after figuring out the fitment into my ear which took surprisingly way too long (no pictures in the instructions - looked on my order page, that's how I found out about the sale price grr)Initially it was uncomfortable and sound was poor quality, changed up to the largest ear cone and TADAH ...fit was comfortable sound was ok.I have had much better sounding earbuds for much less $$$, but like everyone says , they last about 3 months - hoping the cord style helps with that, as I have said, I would give the sound quality a 6.5 out of 10..have to get used to the different routing of the cord over the ear..I give fitment and comfort a 7 out of 10 and the in ear stability (how well it stays in place) a 8.5 out of 10. as for the "noise cancelling" feature I would give it a 8.5 out of 10...but I may change it after my flight.I dislike bluetooth earbuds because of sound quality loss, but dislike wired buds because they always are getting pulled/caught/tugged on someone or something - - flight soon - hoping the over the ear location helps with that.....for the price I'll take the gamble..Mar 6 2017 update -Took my holiday - not impressed at all - hard plastic will make your ear so after 15 min - because of the design the fit in you ear cannot be adjusted for better sound and comfort - the wiring was very stiff and if pressed against you skin for a bit it began to hurt. Over all I would say keep shopping for something else

I generally hate earbuds because
I generally hate earbuds because, among other things, I have an ear piercing that makes it very hard to keep them in. I bought these because I'm going on a week-long vacation and don't want to bring my nice big headphones with me, and I'm really impressed with them. They stay in (they come with various sized earpieces, I just use the ones that were on already). The sound quality is very good for earbuds. The flexible cording near the ear helps keep them in but they stay in for me without it. I like the braided cord -- I just got these so I can't speak to their longevity but I've had similar cording on much more expensive headphones and it lasts well. They are packaged well and the carrying case is a nice bonus. The one thing I will say that is perhaps 'negative' is the instruction manual is completely useless. They really could just leave it out. I ended up logging back on the Amazon page to look at the sample picture of the person wearing the earbuds to figure out which was right and which was left. Once I got it (which the picture makes easy) they worked very well.

Well worth the money.
Really impressed with this product, the connection between wire and jack is nice an sturdy, the L shape makes it easyer to pull out of your device. The sound blocking is great , I admit that when I need to concentrate I will just put these in with out any sound , bliss I CAN'T HEAR YOU! Does take a little effort to get them in your ears as ends wants to tangle up , other than that they're great , the case is also a nice extra. Would buy again with any worries , have beeb using these for 4-5months solid.

I like the durability on these
I like the durability on these. I bought another set of earbuds in this price range that fell apart within the first two weeks, but these are both nice sound -wise and are holding up perfectly after three. The one thing I dislike somewhat about them is the fit - the plastic ends are quite large though with a few seconds of fiddling with the wire ends when putting them in they can be quite comfortable and stay there. One last note I have is that these are not actively noise-cancelling but work better than the majority of earbuds I've tried for noise isolation.

Simply awesome
I've bought many sets of earbuds and I'm always looking for a good set with good noise cancellation. These buds are very similar to ear plugs. I've never had a set of ear buds that were even close to the noise cancelling that the ear buds offer. And the sound is very good as well. I would highly recommend these to anyone
