Oral-B Glide Pro-Health Original Floss

They're making these newer types of floss that feel cheap and want to curl when you pull the floss from the spool. This is the good, old-school stuff. Can't go wrong!

My husband loves this floss. He has very tight teeth. This is the only floss that we have found that has worked. Unfortunately the $10 price is ridiculous.

Seriously, Glide floss really is the best. It barely ever shreds, and when it does it isn’t too bad. The flatness of it is perfect because my teeth are very tightly together. Which is probably why almost every floss I’ve ever used has shredded, which I hate, it gives me a cringey icky uncomfortable feeling. Probably sensory issues. And it gets everything out of my teeth, especially meat and fruit. Great floss!

I read that Oral B floss is linked to high levels of PFAS/forever chemicals. I thought that was true and originally gave it a one-star review but, when I talked with my dental hygienist, she said she researched this claim and found it was not true. I apologize to Oral B and their consumers for contributing to the spread of misinformation. I liked this floss when I used it, although it was a little too thin/weak for me and I would occasionally shred it because it would tear when I flossed between some of my teeth with tighter gaps, hence the four-star review

This is the perfect thickness for dental floss. It glides super smoothly, doesn't get stuck, doesn't shred, and doesn't hurt your gums. I also appreciate the flavor-free variety, as I can't use mint products.

Oral-B made a HUGE mistake changing their GLIDE floss. From original, to pro-health deep clean floss, to ANY of their floss, this new "micro-textured to clean powerfully" can be damaging to crowns and fillings, for anyone with teeth close together. It is now some sort of tough, rigid plastic and you can slide it down between your teeth, but when you try to pull/slide it back up and out, it literally yanks at any dental work. I am distressed by this as I have used this floss for decades. It is now a terrible floss I will no longer purchase/use. I hope I can find a different name brand, NOT ORAL-B that will preserve my teeth.

I prefer this because the packages of green waxed Glide floss have begun to shred about 2/3 way through the floss. The shredding makes flossing needlessly difficult and forces me to throw away 1/3 of each floss. Then I found this Glide, more like the original. It fits more easily between tightly spaced teeth and does not shred. It isn't heavily waxed so seems to leave teeth cleaner. Also, you get more yards per container. A great deal!

Thankful I found the original Glide floss on here and a good price to boot! I tried both the "deep clean" (grey box) and the newer "advanced" floss (blue box) and both of these will shred easily; they also break when I am flossing at least 1/2 the time for me. I do have tight contacts between my teeth, but still..... Anyway, for whatever reason, the original (white box) Glide floss doesn't do that. Win!
