A Powerful, Practical Tool for Healing
I purchased The PTSD Workbook for a family member who is a combat veteran, and it has been an invaluable resource in his healing journey. This book offers practical, easy-to-follow techniques that help individuals understand, process, and manage PTSD symptoms effectively.🔹 Key Highlights:✅ Easy-to-Use Workbook Format – Unlike dense medical texts, this book is interactive, with exercises and self-assessments that make it engaging and personalized.✅ Evidence-Based Techniques – The book incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and acceptance-based strategies, which are proven to help with PTSD recovery.✅ Addresses a Wide Range of Symptoms – It covers flashbacks, anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, and difficulty sleeping, making it useful for anyone experiencing trauma-related stress.✅ Great for Self-Guided Healing or Therapy Support – Whether working independently or alongside a therapist, this book provides clear, step-by-step exercises that help make progress at a comfortable pace.✅ Compassionate & Supportive Tone – The authors write with understanding and empathy, making it feel encouraging rather than clinical.🔸 Considerations:➖ Requires Self-Engagement – Since it’s a workbook, the best results come from actively completing the exercises rather than just reading.➖ Not a Replacement for Professional Help – While incredibly useful, those with severe PTSD may still benefit from professional therapy in addition to using this book.🏆 Final Verdict:The PTSD Workbook is a thoughtful, well-structured guide that provides practical tools for overcoming traumatic stress. Whether for a combat veteran, first responder, or anyone affected by trauma, this book is a highly effective resource for healing and recovery.💯 Highly Recommended for Anyone Navigating PTSD!👉 5/5 Stars – A Must-Have for Trauma Recovery!

Grateful I bought this 3 years ago, it really works
Read this book and filled out questions a few years ago. Have recommended it to several friends. I know this isn’t ment to be a replacement for therapy but for me it was more comfortable to get this all out this way than in traditional therapy. I am glad I bought this book 3 years ago, I can tell it really helped

Highly recommend.
This is a serious and in debt workbook and guide. The research done for this book is extensive. Within the first chapter you will learn and understand more than you might in probability 10 therapy sessions. I recommend this as a supplement to therapy. Even if you don't have ptsd there is so much information about the building blocks of improving emotional and cognitive development, as well as why we end up with ptsd. Chock full of Diagrams and journal prompts and exercises throughout that will help improve emotional intelligence for anyone willing to improve their mental growth.

Difficult to do alone
This book was a recommendation from my psychologist. While helpful it’s a lot to process and work through independently.
