Hi there! Thanks for the message. Our products are not designed for lifting metal items. This is not an accurate representation for determining if a magnet will be effective for magnetic therapy. Our products use deep penetrating neodymium magnets (high gauss) that are designed to be used for magnetic therapy. This means that magnetism can be felt a few inches from the magnet surface. My ring size is 6 but that’s with rings fitting just right. Will a size 8 be to big to adjust?

Yes, it is easier to adjust the ring to be larger than to make the ring smaller. I would suggest a size 6 and you can gently adjust it larger if needed.

Paper wrap - tape measure= 3" (little finger) using a od tape measure 9/10"? my size would be?

The sizing seems too large. We would suggest using a piece of string to wrap around your finger and get the measurement.
