Just received the two Scheffland capos today and they are not what's shown in the pictures or the video or the photos of the other reviewers. The color is shiny black, there is no Scheffland branding on the hinge and there is a fork on the end to pull bridge pins. Since these capos are gifts for young children I think those pointy things on the end would be potentially dangerous for them. The only thing that says this is a Scheffland capo is a upc sticker on the back of the package.

First one I received fell apart immediately upon arrival. The rubber pad that clamps against the back of the neck had come unglued. I was planning to just superglue it back on, but the company replaced the item for me. The second one lasted about 18 months of fairly regular use (2-3 sessions a week) before it called it quits. Apparently the round 'hinge' thing that keeps the whole thing together is plastic and prone to breaking with much use.I would consider the product maybe 2 stars for the price and because one of them actually held up for 18 months. I'm throwing in an extra star for them being quick to replace the defective one. Overall, I probably wouldn't buy this brand again unless they improve the build quality or lower the price further.

The "Scheffy Capo 1" is truly finely crafted, and it's clear that its namesake (Jason Scheff) would expect nothing less before putting his name on it. We looked at many different capos, but after doing much research, we felt that this quality capo was the right choice. We were not disappointed!!! This is an amazing capo -- lightweight, easy to use, stays in tune, and has a nice feel. The fact that it has a 'lifetime warranty' is the cherry-on-top...and the price is whipped cream!

Excellent capo for changing the key on guitar or uke. It works on my classical guitar and it works on the tenor ukulele. The back has a nice rubber pad to prevent marring the finish on the guitar. It clamps tight enough to work well on the fret. Some music I play requires a key change, so the capo is a useful tool.

I'm just getting into the guitar, so I looked around for a decent capo til I saw this one. It's a solid, strong capo, and fits good on my dobro. The spring is a little strong, but I have no doubt that it'll work great with my guitar.

Awesome for the price. They do exactly what you’d hope for and they have a firmer grip than what I expected at the price. So inexpensive you can buy a few if you multiple guitars. I’ve orderwd twice now and would again

Clips comfortably and holds strong, but not too strong as I noticed some other capos do (I'm not concerned about damaging the strings or guitar with it). It's also nice and long for my wide-neck guitar. Great purchase, and I would buy again.Not to mention, it's a nice color.

Capo is great and comes as advertised. I, have 1 problem: when I bend strings (b and high 4), the bent strings don't get all the way back down again, leaving them crimped and a little sharp. I play acoustic with a .13 on top. So I use the Sheffland for songs with no bending and my old Shubb for songs I do bend strings on.
