Well made. Fits my existing hose size, no adapters needed. Has only been in use a month, no issues so far.

Works well in picking up leaves in the pool.Easy to install.Also easy to clean.

I installed this inline with my pool vacuum and it works great! It easily traps all of the larger leaves and other debris that is pickup by my pool vacuum.

The vacuum functions as supposed to coupled with my (best ever)"Pool Cleaner" vacuum.I have used several leaf baskets and this one has a design flaw. The lid does NOT have a rotating/swivel built into the lid or attach point for the hose. This resulits in the pool vac Hoses to continually bind up in circles becoming entangled.I now have to search for an rotating adapter for the hose connection. As usual Hayward brands are overpriced for the lacking quality.

Product is as easy to install Works. Great last a long time I highly recommend.

It catcheslarger leaves a twigs that could get caught in the filter. I call it preventable care. It prevents damage that larger item could cause. East to put in, easy to empty.

I've had a Hayward leaf cannister for 20 years and it finally needed replacing. This unit appears identical except for the color (the blue collar for the lid was gray on the old one, and the black basket was gray on the old one).The unit works fine at catching leaves, but emptying the leaves is a problem. First, it's difficult to get the lid off. The old one was also difficult but not as much. My wife struggled with the old one, but she is unable to remove the lid on the new one at all. I can do it, but it is definitely more difficult.Second, the O-Ring in the lid is definitely not sized right. It's slightly too big in diameter so it's hard to get the lid back on without the O-Ring folding over and getting pinched (see photo of how the O-ring bulges out if you don't hold it in with your fingers). If the O-Ring gets pinched, it will be ruined. I found out my next door neighbor bought the exact same cannister earlier this year and had the exact same problem. She pinched the O-ring and ruined it, but it happened just a couple of days after she installed the new cannister, so she dug out her old cannister from the trash and swapped the O-ring from the old one. It fits correctly and solved the problem. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the problem until after the old one had been hauled away.

En mis manos, este filtro funciona bien en conjunción con una aspiradora Hayward Limpiafondos hidráulico Magic Clean (la que parece una mariquita) pero solo retiene los restos más grandes. Al final los insectos pequeños se cuelan y acaban colmatando el prefiltro de la bomba. Para eviatr eso, lo que he hecho es poner una tela de filtrar (con una trama más abierta que una tela normal) ajustándola alrededor del filtro de plástico que tiene este prefiltro. Así funciona fenomenal. Creo que debrían incluir este tipo de tela filtrante, más teniendo en cuenta el precio exagerado que tiene este prefiltro. Por alguna razón, con el filtrado se va acumulando aire dentro del prefiltro (que no sé por dónde entra porque todas las conexiones son estancas y bajo el agua. Me imagino que se producirán por cavitación) y de vez en cuando hay que purgarlo para eviatr que entre en la bomba y deje de aspirar.Es muy recomendable, aunque no por el precio!
