I usually buy the large cotton glass cloths. It was the green that caught my eye so I didn't see the herringbone design in the description. They are perfectly adequate although I would say 1. They are more off white or certainly look it against my white glass cloths, 2. They shrink slightly when washed and leave a huge amount of fluff in the dryer.Otherwise they are fine and soft although I think I may go back to the glass cloth ones for the same price purely due to the white.

Edit: changed from 4 stars to 2. After using and washing these towels I am not very impressed. I can only assume they are not 100% cotton as their absorbency is very disappointing, even after several washes it's hard work to dry up with these and they are hopeless for polishing glasses.Original review:My initial reaction on opening was that these towels were a bit disappointing. Having worked in catering for a few years I was looking for good glass cloths like I had been used to using and these looked and sounded like just the thing from the image and the description.When I opened them they were very off-white and the labels said "cotton rich" but no info on fibre content, though the description on Amazon says "100% Rich Cotton Fibre" which I took to mean 100% cotton, but now I am doubting that. Also they were quite bitty and linty and had little shreds of silver on them like fine bits of tinsel or Lurex. Still, maybe they are not bleached, which would be a good thing, and everyone knows that you can't really tell how good a towel is until it has been washed, also they weren't very expensive, so I figured I would wash them and if no good for glass cloths I can use them for something else.After washing they are really quite fluffy and linty still, but I'm going to try them out and wash them a couple more times before I decide if I need to look for something else - if they turn out to be great I will come back and edit the review.

They arrived at the start of stay cation and they are much appreciated by my staff, large enough to handle most jobs washes up well and easy to dry quickly, recommended
