My First Pop Up Fairy Tales: Jack & The Beanstalk: Pop up Books for children Hardcover – December 7, 2019

I expected a big beautiful book. It's so small, and somehow tells the entire story--minus some details-- in a few pages. Pretty disappointed.

This is a very condensed version of the story, it’s only 4 pages. I don’t like the casual mentioning of killing and death—it’s worded in a way I feel is inappropriate for any child that isn’t old enough to understand that yet. I don’t like the illustrations and the emotional display of anger through out. I thought this book would be similar to other pop-up books we have but the way they are positioned in respect to the text makes it hard to read to your child and experience the pop-up pictures correctly.

This book is very small and hard for the children to see the pictures if you are reading to more than child. This version is written with the Giant killing Jack’s father. Reading it aloud for the first time I had to quickly edit that part!

Should get a better version

Strays away from the story a bit and talks about death a few times which isn’t age appropriate.

DO NOT BUY. I bought this for a lesson plan I had in mind for my kindergarten classroom. It is not kid friendly, Jack all but murders the giant and then he lives happily ever after. WHAT?! I waited a week for this! I'm so glad I had a backup plan...

The minimal effort that went into designing this gives me second hand embarrassment. This is the first book I’ve ever thrown out so that future children won’t be disappointed.
