Great backpack for Alaskan vacation!
Purchased this backpack for an Alaskan land and cruise vacation. It was perfect. I purchased this size because I wanted to be able to use it for both my husband and me. It held our jackets (woman's fleece, woman's rain jacket, man's rain suit (pants and jacket), man's windbreaker, 2 pairs of compact binoculars, 2 pairs of sunglasses in cases, 2 hats and 2 pairs of gloves. Also had wet wipes, tissues, mints, ear buds and occasionally,, 2 iPhones. Added 16 oz water bottles on the side pockets, and put my 24 oz owala inside the pack. All of these items fit in the pack at the same time on a particular day or two. Normally we did not need to pack the rain jacket and/or rain suit. There are MANY pockets. The only negative I would have is that I could not find things I was looking for! This was not the fault of the pack. Obviously I needed to be more organized when putting things in separate compartments. We only had 1 day of drizzle so I do not know how it will hold up in steady rain. I thought that the straps were comfortable and the pack balanced things well. It is lightweight, yet, so far, durable. I was able to pack it back in its compact bag without issue. Perfect companion for our trip! Will be using it for future trips as well. I recommend this product.

Great Pack good for ultralight hiking, daypack, and travel
I bought this pack because I want to get further into ultralight hiking as well as travel but not spend a fortune. I bounced back and forth between the 40 and the 50 liter. I ended up going with the 40 because of all the research I did. I figured (in the ultralight mindset) it was better to not have too big of a pack. Im a 5'5 male and this pack is a perfect size for traveling ( I wouldnt go any bigger, and I could stand to loose 5 or so liters, just for traveling) But it is great quality, light weight, straps are nice, buckles are good, zippers are good, whistle sucks :) but still cool. One thing to note if you are getting it for ultralight hiking. the 40 liter is going to be tight (I was able to stuff 3 crumpled up large bath towels in the main compartment), I was worried about getting the 50 because of how high it would go over my head. This one is right at neck level and doesnt go down too far over your back. You could only do 2-3 day hike. if your sleep system is a hammock it is PERFECT, if it is a bivy tent and sleeping pad its going to be tight i might go with the 50 (unless you strap it on the outside). The only problem is the main compartment seems small because the suspension system and part that keeps bag directly off back and allows airflow seems to constrict it a bit. I have looked at all the osprey,REO, and gregory bags. This bag is just as nice as them. not sure how the waterproffenss is going to be. Overall I would go with the 40 over the 50 and make it work. Remember if you buy a larger pack you are much more likely to fill it. if you have to cut out some things thats what makes it interesting and challanging. One last thing I read on one of these reviews that the hydration tube port was not there or was sewn shut. Mine was perfect and there is a clip for the mouthpiece on the shoulder strap. Lots of teather points and there are places to cinch the pack as tight as you want. I really like the waste strap with the small pockets that will be good for quick reach items like phone, gps, passport, wallet, snack. Last thing, they put the small pocket for the rain cover in the base of the bag. I really like that because you can reach back while pack is on and get it out then sling off the pack and have your cover ready to put on quickly. overall well thought out pack and good quality for the money.

Super light not supportive of weight
It’s super thin which is great because it’s light and can pack into a bag if needed. Lots of space. The issue is it has zero structure so it is not very comfortable when it’s full

Not great if bag is loaded down
No padding for shoulders and not a great backpack if loaded down with weight. Took on international trip and used as daypack for 10 days. Wished I would have another daypack with padded shoulders. Would be good to throw in for backpacking or a just in case bag but for daily use I recommend others. Straps dug into my shoulders and armpit.
