Works well
I finally got around to installing this USB extension in my SUV. It works great, transfer speed is fast, and installation was a breeze. I installed it on the center console and looks like it came from the factory with it.

Use a step drill bit
Used a step drill bit to around 18-20 mm for the hole. Used it on my Rivian R1T with an OBD port USB for a power source. Works great since Rivian decided to omit the under dash power outlet.

Looks OEM
I was a little skeptical about this item. I went and purchased a step drill bit and drilled using a 13/16 size. The usb port fit nice and tight. Looks oem and better than letting the cables dangle.

So far so good. I have not hooked it up yet so I cannot say on the durability, but I am sure it will be fine.

Does exactly what it says on the package.
I have an Alpine radio in my truck that has USB ports on the front and back, but I dislike having a cable hanging off the faceplate. I mounted this in the lower console so I can plug my phone in and not have the cable hanging down the dashboard. Did exactly what I needed and works fine. The USB scocket is really tight but I’m probably not going to be unplugging it that often, so no problem, and the cable is pretty stiff and needed some zip ties to keep it in place.
