New AC Adapter/Power Supply for Acer PA-1650-02 PA-1700-02 SADP-65KB

I'll give it three stars for the price. It is problematic, however, how easily it will inadvertently disconnect from the laptop.UPDATE:Downgrading from original 3 stars to 1. This thing started out loose, and now it downright just won't even stay in. It will even look like it is still in, and it is NOT making contact. Must be wiggled and rearranged and replugged constantly just to make a temporary contact that disengages by gravity within a few minutes. WASTED money on this. I have to buy another of a different brand to save my sanity.

So we ordered this as a replacement charger for my wifes laptop. We made sure that the model numbers matched before we ordered it. Upon receiving the item, we tried to plug it into the laptop and it did not fit. The male part was too small. So we looked again and it apears that they sent the one that is marked compatable with ours (PA-1700) but it wasn't.We tried contacting the seller, but never got a reply back.Be careful if you order this, we were very disapointed. Take my advice and look elsewhere.

Buyer beware. What arrived is not what is pictured. I received a two-prong plug, i.e., an ungrounded plug. Not exactly fit for use with a laptop computer. It does convey power, but throws a spark whenever I first plug it into the wall socket. Consequently, I make a point of never leaving it plugged-in (on either end) unattended.It also seems rather lightweight and flimsy.Don't buy this. Buy a different one.

I almost spent about $80 for a universal AC adapter at Best Buy since they didn't have this exact AC adapter in stock, but I figured I'd look online first. I found this and ended up paying less than $10, received it in less than a week and am now typing from my laptop. The little metal piece that plugs into the laptop is about 2mm shorter than the original that came with my laptop, but I haven't experienced any problems. This is really a great deal if you need an AC adapter replacement.

It works as expected. I thought it might be a little more brand name of a product but hey what do I want for the cost? No problems with it powering the laptop thus far.

The connection between the rectangular pack and the plug in cord is looser than we like, but it does the trick to replace the cord the cats chewed on. Fast, free shipping as advertised.

The " brick" part of the unit runs hot (125 degrees). The original did this also and had lasted 3 years. This seems functionally similar and compatible with the original. So far so good! Three weeks later.
