Hooked up three so far. Saved a bunch of money over buying new fixtures. Change out was very easy and quick, non complicated. Glad I bought new tombstones to replace a couple of broken ones. They work great with instant on.One disapointment, I went to the Robertson Worldwide site to see who they were. The site stated that these ballast were union made in the United States. What i recieved said made in China. I made my decision to purchase on this statement by Robertson Worldwide.I will purchase these again, just don't care for the dishonesty.

Easy to install.

After our basement tubelight died, i decided to switch from T12 to the newer T8 bulbs. I ordered this ballast as well as the T8 socket holders (aka "tombstones"). I am not much of a handyman but i was able to swap things and the T8 works great. It is brighter now and i do not have to deal with the constant buzzing noise of the older ballast. People have pointed out the the older ballasts last longer than these electronic ones so i cannot judge the long term reliability yet. However, i am happy with the purchase and feel it is worth it

I got this part to replace the cheap one that came in an overhead lamp fixture which died within a year of original installation. This is a hopefully high quality, standard part which I hope will last longer than the original. I had a professional electrician install it as my talented brother-in-law wasn't available, but anyone with some understanding of basic electronics could probably install it. Highly recommended!

I have six 4ft fluorescent shop lights that began to fail 1 at a time over a period of 2 or 3 years. I would change out the tubes, but that wouldn't help, so I would install a new ballast. Easy to install and worked great out of the box. Within a few months, the light would flicker a lot before coming on, something that a new ballast would again fix. I had another original light that began to fail, so same thing - easy to install, worked great out of the box, and in a few months that light would flicker a lot before coming on. BUY SOMEBODY ELSE'S BALLAST.

and cheaper than the box stores, what can I say, after several months they work!

I’m electrician so this was a walk in the park.

Ordered these to replace old ballasts in some fixtures we had. Ordered Philips 472902 LED T8 bulbs to go with them. After rewiring the fixtures, put the new bulbs in... And they would not light. If you inserted the bulbs with the fixture powered, they would light. Wondering if maybe it was this specific bulb, so grabbed some older Philips LED bulbs we had in use. Same behavior. Swapped the ballast in case this one was defective (we had 4 on hand)Ordered Advance ballasts (ICN-4P32-N) and the bulbs lit like a champ. So YMMV. The Advance ballasts were lighter and thinner as well.

This was the best, it was easy to install. I grounded it by sanding the paint of the areas that connect to screws which connect to the light fixture. It was half the price than at Lowes/Homedepot. The setup from my fixture was interesting as I am not an electrician, but it was easy if you read the diagram VERY carefully. I would definitely order this item again, and delivery was absolutely accurate.

Still works well after replaced original one for past 5 years.

As work flawlessly on 4 tubes for a month now.
