Perfect replacement unit for old swivel rocker chair
This turned out to be an exact replacement for the one in my 1980s vintage rattan swivel rocker chair. Same manufacturer - Leggett & Platt. Maybe it will last another 40 years. 🙂

Doesn't fit
It turns out that the unit did not fit my application - this was not apparent from the diagrams on the web site. The items is being returned. Careful measurements are required when ordering tis type of replacement part.

I had to make some altercations to the base of the chair but made it work.

when replacing this part, measure your existing part to ensure it will fit.
This unit fit the chair I was repairing that had a broken spring. Originally wanted to just replace the spring. They are hard to find and also looked like changing just the spring would be difficult. This unit was ready to go and had three springs intsead of two (think back spring on mine had been missing for a long time). Wasn't much more money to replace entire part then trying to replace broken spring and add missing one.

Dimensions are as stated and has multiple holes to line up with existing holes when replacing another oneUnit has a slight tilt to it so need to pay attention to orientation
