When the women from the Hawks are offering to help her and kids Malinda is just about to refuse them when in walks Julian to save the day. Julian is the one that gets Malinda to open up (Julian is the unofficial fairy godmother of the group and can get anyone to like him. The man is a diva.)Declan is determined to know Malinda, but he has to find a way to approach her. The girl keeps running away every time he comes near her.The Hawks and Declan go into protective overdrive when Malinda and her kids are threatened. They are going to learn the hard way that the Hawks protect their own and if anyone mess with that, they're road kill.I like that the story is told from two points of view. It's not all one sided. The heroine of the book is not weak or delicate. The world knocks her down she gets up brushes herself off and pushes on. Mess with her kids and she will mess you up. Declan is a tattooed, hot bad ass biker. Loyal to his friends and his club. Liked that Malinda knocked him on his butt and made him work for the relationship. Also liked that he developed a relationship with Josh and Nary (Malindas' children). He became the father figure they never had. The story had suspense, some humor (Mrs Cliff is an absolute riot, she is Rambo in drag and males the MC quake in their boots when she's around) and hot steamy romance (so steamy that the temperature goes up when they are in the same room). Definitely worth the read.

This is the story of Declan and Malinda and her two children Josh and Mary. Stokes, his biker club name, meets Malinda at the funeral of a former MC Hawks, which was Malinda husband. Circumstances leads her former brother-in-law to think her husband had hid some drugs in her home and he had a mafia man after him so he came and threatened Malinda and her children which lead the Hawks MC members to protect her around the clock, Stokes being one of them the chemistry is undeniable between them and the story is about their growing love, friendships and a little bit of drama and unforgettable supporting characters. As usual love this book and Lila Rose writing. Great book

So, I’m not gonna lie the first time I read this book it wasn’t my favorite in the series and s whenever I would reread the series I would just skip over this book. However, after a while I decided to give it another shot and I have to say I do love it after all this time! I think because it was a little different than the others and at first I didn’t know Stoke so well I wasn’t as into the storyline but now after reading other stories with them in it I have enjoyed the story more. I do love Stoke and Malinda and their love story! I also super love the back story between Nary and Saxon and this had a lot to do with me wanting to reread it! Ok book....not 100 percent believable though.... I'm sorry but I'm not buying that no one knew Tank wasn't married.. the way they act at the funeral just makes it seem like they let anyone in their club without really knowing them.... no one seemed to know much about him...hell no one seemed to even like him...Mally seems like a flake... the end (before the part about Josie) didn't make sense at all.... this book had a bunch of typos and it felt rushed....slow down and developed your characters and storyline more. There was a whole lot of waiting without there being much of anything scary going on that would make me actually afraid.... it was like I was waiting for the 3 stooges to show up. Then they did well 2 did lol and then 5 seconds later yay all is well... felt like I was reading a fairy tale book...

Malinda and Declan's story and its a doozie. These guys have a way of turning you into a puddle on the floor.Malinda knows these guys, they're rotten to the core and she is glad to be rid of them! Her husband has just died but her love for him died along time ago when he decided to lash out at her with his fists instead of his foul mouth. She blames his MC but she soon finds out her husband was hiding much more than his business dealings.Her rat bag husband may be dead and buried but his legacy lives on in his brother and she is in direct line of fire.The Hawkes MC is equally stunned because they knew nothing of her and the two children she has in tow. What the hell was Tank into becomes a race against time in order to keep this woman and her children safe.Stoke is drawn to her like a moth to a flame from the minute he sets eyes on her but wonders how he can convince her that Tank misrepresented them on so many levels. Enter The Pussy squad led by the adorable Julian helps smooth the path. Great story lots of grit and lots of laughs along the way with a slathering of touching and loving moments. This story has it all

OK I was up until 3.10 reading this, I could not put it down, I tried to but then decided no I needed to find out how it ended,tired this morning but soooo worth it, I can catch up on sleep when the series has ended, I really enjoyed this one the storyline was grittier particularly in a few places but then there was nice quiet moments where we got to see more about certain characters,, I am loving the pussy posse, especially Julian, he is like a ramped up Julian Clary but with inner demons and I hope at some point we get to hear his story, luckily I don't start work til 5pmso can get some sleep and maybe even start the next one

I'll admit, from the blurb alone this book didn't appeal to me! Don't know why, it just didn't seem that it would be the same as the others - boy was I wrong!! 😀Declan Stokes & Malindas story:Stokes takes a liking to Malinda as soon as he sees her, unfortunately it was at her husbands funeral (who had been a member of the Hawks) along side her two teenage kids - not very appropriate!Malinda was heartbroken, but not so much from loosing her husband, more from guilt of not leaving him sooner - he wasn't a nice guy, which the club soon realise.Malinda soon realises that her hubby was a bad example of the club, he was nothing like the rest of them. And things progress from there really!Twists, turns, attraction and humour - excellent yet again!!

This is a fast paced story which is an emotional and thrilling read. I was completely captivated throughout this addictive page turner and I highly recommend for all readers. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all readers.

Love Lila Rose, especially as the leading characters actually have a past. Let's face it were not always lily white virgins!This can be read as a standalone but is best enjoyed as part of the Hawks series.Highly recommend
