Highly recommend this walking boot if you have to wear one. It was BY FAR more comfortable than some of the other boots I tried. What I like about it: -Relatively smaller height difference with most thicker-soled tennis shoes -Straps are very easy to thread through AND can easily adjust the angle of the strap for better fit across the foot, ankle, or leg -Strap across the ankle is a little narrower, so it is less uncomfortable while giving better fit/support -Pneumatic function is very easy to pump up, adjust, and deflate without putting excess pressure across your shin -Metal side supports don't put excess pressure around the lower leg resulting in decreased leg discomfort while you're protecting your foot -Less expensive than many of the other boots available online What I don't like about this boot - the liner is a bit skimpy around the foot and needs to be pulled tight in order to get the Velcro to overlap fully -This boot has a little less of a rocker bottom compared to other boots due to the smaller sole, but I felt it was worth the trade off to be more level with normal shoes -This boot (as well as pretty much any boot made to fit either right or left foot) offers no real arch support, but this can be solved by adding an over-the-counter arch support (Spenco or similar brand) into the boot. -Leg Velcro straps are a bit long and can't be trimmed due to design -Not made in the US, although the quality is excellent and it is holding up very well after a couple of weeks of continuous wear.

First time I use this boot cast after several hours my heel hurts a lot 8/10 pain score. I couldn't lift my foot because of the severe pain i encountered at my heel. it hurts my heel a lot. But in all fairness, the affected tendons was well secured.

I wanted to get this asap so I priced a similar product at local stores & they were at least double the price. This worked great. Easy to follow instructions on how to fit it & it was easy to adjust. One small issue: my Ortho advised me not to inflate the air bladder too much so I didn't inflate it at all. A couple times, the boot was uncomfortable & I discovered the boot somehow self inflated (maybe I accidentally put the strap over the inflation button?) & because the pressure release wasn't open, the boot got overly tight. I kept the pressure release open all the time after that & had no other issues.

Love the quality, fit, and price of this orthopedic boot. I wear a men’s size 9.5 and my foot (heel to toe) is 10 and 1/4 inches. According to the sellers size chart medium was the size for me. I didn’t want to gamble on the large size, thinking the inch or so of unneeded sole overhang beyond my toe would be a trip hazard if it got stuck under a throw rug, etc. I’m not saying this chart was wrong as the shoe initially fit perfectly. BUT . . . . I should have purchased the large size. Why? Either the way I wear the boot or the way it’s designed, or both, my big toe starting to hang about an inch beyond the sole of the boot. I figured out why. The boot is designed with a separate insole, which is really comfortable. However in my instance the booth side away from the hard plastic outer boot by over an inch = exactly how much my toe was now poking out. Possible reason why? The second from the top Velcro strap is not attached to any structural piece of the boot. So when I tighten this strap it centers my lower leg to the vertical metal support straps of the boot - and moves the inners sole/and my foot forward 1 inch away from the boot’s heel. No big deal. Tightening all the other straps to almost the point of discomfort seems to hold my food and the inner boot better and most of my toe is within the boot. In sum if you’re in-between the size chart’s medium and large size - get the large.

I have had other walking boots that were a single unit and far more convenient. You slip your foot in, slap the velcro straps over and you are good to go. I no longer had that one though. This one is 2 main parts - the outer boot, the inner cushion and then multiple foam pieces. I think the 'pump' button was supposed to be like the old reebok pumps however it doesn't actually pump. It is tedious to put on. If you sit down and remove it to give your foot a break from wearing it, its a pain to slip it back on. Its comfortable enough when walking but I am concerned the adjusting for every wear is not a great idea. I didn't know there was any other kind. We'll keep this one for this injury but I wouldn't order it again or recommend it.
