This lead worked extremely well at the start. However we were walking our dog and the locking mechanism unclipped, detached from the harness and he got loose. Very scary as we were just getting back to the car park near a main road. We always double check that the harness / leash are secure. When we got home we tried it again in the garden, triple checked the leash and once again the locking mechanism failed and unclipped from the harness. Definitely not safe and I can only assume this is a defective product. Will be returning and looking elsewhere.

I have a six month old Romanian Mio mix Shepard puppy he is already 18 kilos I needed a lead that could give him flexibility that was not harsh and worked well with both a harness and collar I’m delighted this is a fabulous product with life time guarantee we have used to build confidence allow safe exploration on off road walks, the clasp on the lead locks which was a really important feature for me .Great product price strongly recommend.

Over all a great comfortable and strong lead, and the bungee is definitely helping to lessen the arm wrench we get when our doggy goes from lovely calm walking to 'I need to chase that bird now' in a split second!.However, when in the local dog walking field we decided to attach our 5m training lead to the top clip by the handle, to extend the lead for training and to make use of the bungee taking the excess energy if she pulls. We have done this before with other short leads and not had a problem.Unfortunately when she went running off, the clip on the bungee lead came clean off in a instant taking most of the handle stitching with it and the dog was free. After putting her back on the now part broken lokheira bungee lead, she did another excited zoomie and the rest of the stitching came apart and the handle is now totally broken.I accept this is our user error and a lesson learnt, as the lead looked and felt strong enough for what we wanted to do, but just wanted to warn any one elese thinking of attaching another lead to it, not to, well at least not to the top clip, as it wont be strong enough to hold a strong pull.Despite the above, we will be buying a replacement one of these leads as It definitely made walkies easier and more comfortable.

We were walking with friends and on meeting them and their rather exuberant puppy, my sheltie puppy just panicked and pulled the extender lead right off my hand & started to run away with my friends dogs chasing him to play. We were lucky as the lead was caught under a parked car's wheel and we managed to free him and give him a big cuddle.Our friend showed us the lokheir lead and it's been the best thing we have bought.The locking device is ace & stops anyone who strokes him with the intention of unhooking his lead and stealing him. Whilst initially the lead was heavy for my little sheltie within a very short time he totally accepted it. The strapping/lead is very strong and very well made and the short strap is brilliant if he needs to be held back such as crossing the road. It is also convenient when driving as the transport clip as I callit, is part of the lead.Excellent Product and would highly recommend it but if you have a miniature dog you might need to check that its not too heavy.

This lead is great, wasn’t sure about the elastic bit to be honest but it has held up well, my dog weighs in at 38kgs, has a habit of pulling, although this is calming down since changing him to a harness an proper lead, the elastic bit works wonders, completely different style of lead, it’s like a buffer to help stop that hard tug, I don’t feel like my arms are being pulled out of there sockets when he decides to pull me. Lol.I would recommend this lead to anyone who has a dog that pulls.

Brilliant lead. My medium sized mixed breed (some husky) dog, who is very strong, has managed to get off a previous lead twice when she has jumped/ pulled suddenly. After searching hard I bought this for the catch and I’m not disappointed. The catch is very strong and wouldn’t accidentally come undone I’m sure, however there is the added security of a small sleeve that pushes down and when turned it can’t be moved back up. This prevents the catch coming undone without definite effort and dexterityI would definitely recommend for dog security and piece of mindIt’s a good length too

I have had 2 of these as I lost one and they really are fantastic. I have a 15 month old German Shepherd and she pulls but she can't on this as it has a handle near the neck that I hold onto at times and there is a middle If she mildly pulls and the longer one when she is shattered. I can't use any other lead I have tried. You have to remember when you close the lead to turn the little barrel thingy as its the lock the catch in place. It has a padded handle which makes holding comfortable it's just an overall sturdy fab lead

The lead itself is strong.. sturdy and very well made.. the anti shock elasticity working in cooperation with the iokheira harness works at treat.. saved my wrists are few times. But like I say in the title.. just one flaw...the lock on the clip fails after a while.. although the lead is very good.. having that extra bit of security does put your mind at ease. The locking sleeve gets worn and the ball bearing that is supposed to retain it place works loose...but otherwise I would recommend any Iokheira item without hesitation.... 5* all the way.
