Absolutely, this barber kit is perfect for at home haircuts. Just check a few videos on YouTube before doing it yourself. The little t blade outliner is amazing, which could be used for beard trimming as well.

Q: Does anyone know how these clippers and trimmers combo conpares to a professional clipper like wahl or babyliss?

I own these and some Wahl pro series. The Wahl's came with heavy duty accessories and had a more powerful motor. For the price however, these are not too bad at all. I'd say if you weren't too concerned with lower quality accessories, these are a GREAT deal
