MotoRad 7340-180 Fail-Safe Thermostat

Great replacement for 2008 Dodge Grand caravan SXT 3.8L except that you cannot use the seal or o-ring. I used my old one and it is still good. I don't need the rectangular thingy on the seal because it will not fit. if they just offer two type of seal I'll give it another star.Update as of 10/2/17: The thermostat was stuck open. Hopefully the replacement will not suffer the same issue after a few days. I am tired with replacing the thermostat.

This thermostat does exactly what it says it will do so I really can't fault it for that. It fails in the open position. Problem is it failed almost right away, and in the middle of winter. The car it was installed into wouldn't come up to temp at all, and I mean would stay on COLD. Ended up replacing with a standard thermostat.

Found out it was t the right one I actually needed. Should have better explanation on what size and temperature each one should have.

Thermostat works great and better then I could hope for. Sadly the car does not like it cause now it does not get to normal operating temp and throws a CEL.

i bought this because my car was over heating. originally my car takes a 190 thermostat but 190 degree thermostat for my chrysler voyager are not the original engine management temperature it is actually 192 so my problem would only continue to get worst. this 180 degree aloud my to fix my coolant leak without my van over heating.
