Great Stapler!
Works very well. It doesn't make the staples rounded up - just flat, but I've felt numerous ones, and it doesn't scratch you at all. I think it does bend them up slightly into the paper, but they probably make the edges of the staples rounded (not sharp), so it helps not to get scratched. This is perhaps one of the reason that they want you to use Optima brand of staples - both has chisel point to staple in well, and probably the 'soft' edges as well. But again, it does a solid job of stapling - the staple-ends are not loose at all, but set tightly against the paper - and all with an easy push down of the handle. UPDATE: I wonder about the many people who are talking about jamming; I haven't had one jam. Perhaps they're not using the correct staples. There are different thicknesses; a staple for more sheets needs to be thicker (besides longer). They recommended their brand of staples (Optima). Perhaps that's the issue. Also, I have found that sometimes, one leg of the staple is not totally against the paper, and since this stapler doesn't make the edges rounded - just bent up slightly towards the paper, you could perhaps get scratched. But most are against the paper well. (Flat is supposed to be an advantage, as it takes somewhat less space). THIS IS PERHAPS THE EASIEST HIGH CAPACITY STAPLER TO USE! Since the distance the handle has to travel from up to down is a few times that of others, it 'falls' giving more leverage; it somehow accomplishments better like that. It's very easy to staple; much easier than another brand I tried, or even another Swingline model. THANK YOU SWINGLINE, AND THANK YOU AMAZON - IT'S GREAT TO KNOW THAT THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES TO HELP YOU GET WHAT YOU NEED!!! There are so many different kinds of tools and materials, and the fact that there are people working hard to see that these things happen, is great! Much appreciation!!!

Super easy to use...
This stapler is simply amazing... I know... it's just a stapler. The first time I used it, I thought it was broken and hadn't done anything... WRONG. There is such little effort in binding a stack of pages that it surprised me that it could be that easy. Just... WOW.

Great for stapling thicker stacks of paper
This thing has been an absolute lifesaver. No more leaning on regular staplers, breaking them, banging my head off of shelves, or jamming. Worth every penny. Kudos to Swingline for a great product. As a PhD student, I often have to print and staple long academic papers. I've stapled up to 40 pages together without issue. From my estimation, it would easily do the 20-30 more it advertises. The mechanism makes the stapling process very easy. I've had zero jams so far, even trying quick imprecise motions to see if I could coax a jam out of it. I would actually venture that using this stapler on a large stack of papers is easier than using a regular stapler on a smaller stack due to the way the mechanism assists. The quality seems top notch. Though it takes up more room than a standard stapler, it sits nicely on my desk. The stapled product is great, as the long, high-capacity staples are folded over nicely. They don't catch on other papers or fabric. A sleeve holding 500 of the Optima high capacity jam-free staples were included. This is probably more than I'll ever need, but since the item description wasn't clear, I went ahead and ordered a box of extra staples that shipped free with Prime as an add-on to the stapler. I think it was $4 for them, and I got 5,000. I now have a lifetime supply of staples, and they came in a nice aluminum box as well. If you need to staple large stacks of paper, get this thing. At the price, it's a steal. Much more economical than the electric behemoths that take up half a desk and make awful amounts of noise.

Great Stapler but WATCH YOUR FINGERS !!
This is a great stapler for my home office. It is STURDY, beautiful, and definitely does the job. HOWEVER, the head of the stapler (black part) hangs OVER the regular stapling mechanism, (silver part, almost 2", so that when you push the Head of the stapler DOWN to make the staple go through the paper, your hand is right there holding the papers, (of course), but that black staple head grabs your fingers every time because your hands need to be close enough to the metal stapling mechanism, in order to hold the papers, and OUCH...you really have to watch what you are doing because your fingers get scrunched in there every time. Hope this makes sense. I would make a video, but hard to hold my camera while using 2 hands to staple. I know that others have had this same problem, but just haven't mentioned it. I still love the stapler. I have 2 of them, the Swingline 70 Sheet Staplers with full sleeve of staples capabilities.

Best stapler ever!
As a CPA for more than 50 years, this is hands down the best stapler ever. It can be used for a few pages or lots and lots of pages. Thin wire staples work for lots of pages without damaging the pages even when removing the staple. Stick to the staples made for it by the same manufacturer.

Great stapler
Have been wanting a heaven duty stapler for years and after reading reviews I decided on the Swingline. Worked exactly as described. I used it on about 50 sheets at first and they were stapler perfectly. It doesn't say but it comes with 500 staples. Would recommend this product.

Can handle a wide range of numbers of pages with perfect stapling each time. Stapling is effortless for smaller documents. Looks beautiful. I was so frustrated with the staplers in the copying room at work that I bought my own to handle larger documents.
