LONDON FOGWomen's Chevron Coat with Faux Fur Trimmed Hood

This is a winner and is exactly what I was hoping for. I’m 5’3 and weigh127 .its not super heavy at all but well made and a great fit. I’m have broad shoulders and am a 34 on top so I can easily wear a lightweight sweater under his and it won’t be too tight. Plenty of room in the shoulders and hip / rear. If your hippy or have a larger rear but still need a small on top you will be fine!I’m smaller on the bottom and have a small waist (26) but this has way ample room for a larger person . I still think the small is perfect for me as I like a little room but don’t want to look like a snowman !I live in Oregon and it’s cold here but not lots of snow.. but wet and damp.. this seems to be very warm (but again not a heavy coat! ) and I wore outside and it’s very breezy today and it does more than the job. I travel to CHI for work and I anticipate his will be plenty warm. The collar is very nice and really makes the black look classy and not so boring .. . The collar seems well secured so perhaps they have fixed this .. as other reviews says it’s not well attached.. either way this would not be a deal killer as you can just either take off or tack it on with thread..The hood is nice and it has two snaps that close close enough t your neck to offer additional warmth on a windy day.Lastly I like there length .. right to the knee and a classic shape. It’s a slight a-line fit .. attaching pics :) great buy and you won’t be disappointed .

I love this coat! I bought my regular size and it fit really well (5'7", 160 lbs. XL). It is SO warm. Very comfortable and not overly bulky. I love that the fur is on the collar and not the hood--it keeps your neck really warm. My only negative comment is that the zipper is a bit temperamental--you can't be hasty or careless zipping it up, but must take care to not catch material in the zipper (half-star deduction?). But the coat is so comfortable and warm, that I believe it is worth it!

UPDATE: I've received my XL size, and it is huge. My normal size is XL, but I sized down and ordered the L first (see below). L was too snug around the waist when I wore a sweater, but XL has me swimming in shoulders and top. I do like the coat and will have to decide whether or not to go back to the L and deal with the snuggness when I'm layering, or just swim a little in the XL. Zipper is a little better on this XL than it was on the L, so the wonky zipper problem may depend on the individual item.Due to the reviews here saying the coat ran large, I ordered a size L instead of my usual XL. The coat was okay if I were wearing a Tshirt, but with a winter sweater it was too small. Hence, I'd say this coat is true to size. I returned for an XL as I liked the coat a lot. The Zipper is not great, as most reviewers say, but if you are gentle with it, it will work. The coat is not bulky but it's warm and comfortable, and the faux fur trim around the neck is great.The color I ordered was "Kale" and I'm not sure why it's called "Kale" as it's far more brown than green. There is just a hint of green in the brown, like someone put a dab of forest green into a pile of regular brown paint. It's mostly brownish. But the color isn't bad. I just hope the XL is not too large, as the L was only slightly small on me. Again, I'm usually an XL so this does not 'run small'. I have another London Fog coat (a wool coat) and that is XL and fits well.

I purchased this coat as part of a deal of the day. I had been looking to replace my old winter coat, which had a messed up hood. I was torn between this coat and one by Kenneth Cole. I opted for this one mainly because the faux fur is located around the neck, rather than the edge of the hood. Also, I liked that the faux fur is removable so that you can wash the coat if needed without ruining the whole thing. The hood zips off separately as well. The faux fur is connected via little buttons and is fairly easy to reattach. There are thick cloth hand cuffs that help keep out cold winds too. I chose the small, based on what size shirt I normally wear and because my old winter coat was a size small. Due to my shortness in height (somewhere between 5 foot 3 inches and 5 foot 4 inches) and that I'm naturally skinny the small is a bit large on me. However, it allows me to wear a hoodie or thick sweater and still have plenty of room to move. I like to feel free to move in winter items rather than restricted. The weather has recently turned bitterly cold where I live and the faux fur around the neck has been perfect in keeping me warm! There is a decent amount of down in the coat and I have stayed pleasantly warm despite the wind that cuts through you like a knife. I chose the Kale color, which is more like a military green or a greenish brown. I would definitely buy this coat again, although I might opt for an x-small next time.

Good winter weather

I had been looking for a black coat for a while for an upcoming trip. I'm very picky about my coats, but loved the style of this one and the great price. When I got it I was so excited, it fit so well! The fur around the neck gives it a classy touch. Also love that the hood is removable.I'm 5'0 and ordered a small - the coat hits me about mid-calf.If you're thinking about getting it, just go for it.

I love this coat. Super classy and comfortable. Some of the reviews mentioned that you do not need to size up and I agree. I normally wear a large in winter coats to allow room for extra layers, etc. But a medium fit perfectly. I love the fur collar close to my neck. So often I find that my make up rubs off on the collar and tends to look dingy after a while. But not with this fur collar. It keeps the coat clean looking and also keeps my face warm.BUT - The zipper on this coat is way too flimsy to do the job. Since the coat hits just above the knee there is a fair amount of stress put on the area when getting in and out of the car or bending over to put on your boots, etc. I wear this coat daily and after about a month the zipper started to pull away at the bottom of the coat. It’s gotten so bad that now it unzips from the bottom on its own without much effort. I’m including a picture. And now I can only keep the coat closed by using the snaps. Again, beautiful coat but if you plan to wear this every day as I do, it likely won’t last.

This is a really well made winter coat with pizzazz to boot! I am very pleased with the fit as I usually wear XL (5'9" and average build) and it is perfect for roominess and comfort. It falls just above the knee which I like as it covers the behind for added warmth. The collar is soft and I like that it is not around the hood but on the actual collar so you can have that up for more protection. The waist is slightly tapered in so it gives you a bit of shape too. I like the gunmetal colour as black is so boring for winter. I still have to try it out on a really cold day as I want to see how it performs in blustery conditions. Very glad I got this coat and looking forward to keeping it for many years.

Quick delivery and the quality is great. I really like the coat as it is really warm and doesn't feel to bulky. I wasn't sure if I would like the colour but I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing to be aware of is that if you are short like me it is longer than it appears in the picture but it still looks great and I love it.

This coat is light weight and very warm. I like that the faux fur is on the collar and not on the hood. I also like the drawstrings on the hood so it can by cinched up tight to keep the wind out. The only negative is that because the fabric is very thin, it sometimes get caught in the zipper.

Nice coat alittle too big. We are having -20°C with wind, Not as warm as I hoped, wind goes through stitching. Also a long coat should never be made without a two-way zipper. This zipper will not last long.
