But, the little holes were , for the most part, still closed with that fine plastic veil covering most of them. I discovered this as soon as I was giving the bowl its initial washing and rinsing; the water was barely trickling through a few open holes.So I had to spend a long time perforating them with a walnut pick. And now it is working better. It is however almost impossible to get rid of the tiny plastic pieces hanging out of the holes after they have been blasted through . I tried with a paring knife and I failed. So I gave up.You fellows might consider having some product inspection of these strainers to make sure that the openings are open before you send them on their merry way to the buyers.

Rice gets stuck in the holes. The plastic is rigid rather than flexible so don't get too rough with it. Other than that it does it's job just fine. It's pretty hard to efficiently wash rice in a strainer or a regular bowl, so I deem this worth the precious storage space it takes to keep it around and handy.

I use it, but it is sort of annoying. The holes aren't completely punched through. It's like a "hanging chad" situation. The plastic isn't completely punched out of the teeny tiny holes, so the water doesn't flow through easily. I usually just end up pouring the water over the side since I can't get it to drain through the holes. I wouldn't purchase this again, or recommend it. If there is a stainless steel version, that would probably be better. It's a great concept, this product just isn't executed well enough.

This strainer is cute, and I love how I can strain both rice and pasta in it. I wish there were more strainer holes because it's a little slow to strain since the holes are small so the rice doesn't fall through.

I do a lot of cooking at home to avoid extra additives & preservatives. In addition to cooking Quinoa I make my own rice milk. This is perfect for washing away impurities for both before cooking. I love the size of this strainer & the color options of this strainer. It's made of very sturdy plastic. I intend to also use it often for fruits like blueberries & raspberries in addition to other fruits & vegetables.

Ordered this handy dish for jasmine rice as it does require quite a bit of washing for a perfect cooking and Delicious meal. This is amazing! The holes are just right for what I'm using it for and it's quick and easy to wash, doesn't require much space either. If you are in the market for something like this I'd HIGHLY recommend it for your home!

I'm really excited to write this review because I love this product! I've been skipping the cleaning product of my quinoa because it's been a hassle.. until I came aross this strainer. It does exactly as described and with ease. You can also use this for cleaning fruits and veggies, or straining pastas. Would highly recommend and purchase again if needed.

This was inexpensive and was well received by the cooks in our family. The rice washer arrived quickly and was well packed. I'm not crazy about the pick color - although I have heard that it is also available in white.
