Improves the taste
They were first seen on Shark Tank. We are pleased with the product and will be purchasing more. My husband says it makes a noticeable difference in the smoothness of the coffee. We chose the dark roast.

Better taste. Smoother.
Very noticeable difference, very pleased. But make note, if you have a Keurig that has a water reservoir, you need to flush at least one coffee cup full of water through before it pulls up the new mineralized water.

Smooth morning coffee!
There is no question that this product makes my coffee taste better. The coffee is exceptionally smooth with no bitterness. I would definitely recommend it.

Waste of money. We COULD NOT taste a difference.
We bought this because we saw it on Shark Tank and the sharks said they could taste a difference. Unfortunately, we could NOT tell the difference. We followed the instructions and bought distilled water to use. My husband didn’t tell me that he used this one morning when he made the coffee, in order to see if I noticed a difference, and I did not. We threw the rest of the product out. We wasted hard-earned money on this product as well as on a gallon of distilled water. If I could give this zero stars I would. Sorry, sharks.

Works but Expensive
It's important to start with pure water. After doing a lot of research, I bought a Mini Classic Countertop Water Distiller, the best in class. Third Wave Water - Dark Roast Profile definitely improves the taste of my coffee but I'm nicking it one star, just because it's so expensive given how cheap the ingredients are. I understand the costs of marketing, advertising, packaging, employees, warehousing, shipping, and the technology involved in making finely ground precise doses but that still doesn't justify the retail cost.

Amazingly good!!
I saw this product on Shark Tank. All of the Sharks commented how good the coffee was when this additive was added to distilled water and used to brew the coffee. I decided to test this myself, and ordered a small quantity. My husband and I compared coffee made with the Third Wave Water in distilled water vs. our usual coffee (made with good tap water). There was a very obvious difference - a deeper taste of coffee and smooth as velvet. This is a product that lives up to the hype.

Better Than Nothin'
Hoped it would make the best dark roasted coffee ever. I use K-Cups, pour overs, Aeropresses, French Presses (occasionally), Vietnamese Phin, etc. Fiji water still seems to work the best for flavor but I'm sure it produces limescale in my Keurig machine. So, I use this product primarily to avoid limescale and subsequent descaling procedures. The TDS is fairly consistent, at around 145 ppm when mixed according to the directions. I do take an extra step, running distilled water through a ZeroWater Filter to eliminate any plastic flavor and, hopefully, any microplastics that may have leached into the distilled water jugs. So...what gets mixed with each packet is as clean-of-a-slate as is practical for me. Update (2025). I got an order from a batch that had lower TDS (about 75). Then another order from another batch with higher TDS (about 175). Obviously, they have either some formulation changes/problems or QC (quality control) problems. The company needs to address this. So, I am lowering the star rating.

I tried the Dark Roast profile with distilled water and dark roast coffee in a Philips espresso machine. Coffee tastes better compared to brewing with Toronto tap water or bottled water. Also tastes better than a competitors' product I've tired. Mixes easily, powder comes out easily and is not clumped. Only down side is the high cost, almost double compared to another brand( the one that comes in two sachets).
