Bialetti Moka Express Handle (9 or 12 Cup) -Black, 12x2x19 cm

Some have complained that the handle is difficult to fix and scored a low rating. The replacement plastic handle is very tight when it is first re-inserted in the metal and needs a little "help" to fully locate. I used a small "G clamp" to very gently squeeze the bottom of the plastic lug into the metal - no need to shave the plastic handle! Once it is flush a 2.5mm drill is perfect for the pin hole but 2.0mm will do if the hole is carefully scored out. The pin holds it nice and tight.

According to instructions, new handle is supposed to fit by sliding up apparently into a groove. My Bialetti 12 cup Moka Express doesn't have this groove. The handle is a different shape and appears to slide in horizontally. The new handle has a large cupped protrusion which prevents this.

Broke the original handle and was pricing up replacement coffee makers when I found this part. Little bit of brute force and hammer & pin punch required to remove and replace handles but well worth the effort

I ordered a replacement Bialetti coffee pot handle. It arrived , the correct ne, but you needed to drill a hole on it before fitting,his was not made clear in the advertisement, In don't have a drill small enough!.

Perfect replacement for original handle, good for another 10 years I reckon 💪🙂
