These molds are great and easy to use. The silicone is very nice and the hole at the top making filling very easy. It is recommended to wash prior to use and if you did, there is no plastic taste. I had no problems removing the molds and maintaining the sphere shape. Couldn't be happier with my purchase, they were a gift and he loves them.

The molds worked very well and my fiancé loved them! The ice balls are the perfect size for cocktails, and the molds were very easy to use.

Read the directions! Once washed and filled up 90% with water, the container does not leak and is the right size for a highball glass. My husband was over the moon excited for this product, as he enjoys restaurants that use these big ice cubes for their cocktails.

Rated them a 3 because they work for some situations. But they are not going to do what many people will want them to do.They would be good for making frozen deserts. Where the ice won't be clear and having a flat spot on from the mold being underfilled lets it sit on a plate. Or for freezing punch to make ice for a punch bowl. But if you're looking to make nice round clear ice balls for your home bar. These won't do that. The way the mold is constructed traps the air and impurities in the ice and separates the mold if completely filled.

Bought these to out in adult beverages and they work okay. For as large as the are the melt rather quickly. That may have nothing to do with this product but I was surprised by how fast the melted. I will try another type next time. But we still use them so not disappointed.

NEVER creates a ball. At best, you get a strange looking ellipsoid with a shear down the middle. When the ice expands, it splits he mold apart and creates a funky middle section. My advice, go for giant cubes instead. They work and look better.

You fill these 90% and then freeze them. It's difficult to tell when you're at 90% and if you overfill you might get a ring around Saturn kind of a thing going on and you'll definitely have a nipple at the top where it pushes up and out as it expands and freezes. You honestly just have to eyeball it and when they are in a beverage with color or carbonation you don't really notice the imperfections but you are totally impressed that you have a giant sphere of ice in your glass. Run them under hot tap water for about a minute and the ice will pop out smooth as you please.

Bought for my boyfriend so he can enjoy whiskey. They work so nicely for various drinks

I comment as a novice as have only made 2 ice balls so far. I read lots of reviews first which were helpful and purchased the individual moulds.So, based on my limited experience: 1. Using filtered water definitely helped make the ice a little clearer than using tap water but it was still opaque (which was fine). 2. On my first attempt I filled the mould to the top with water which, when frozen protruded into a little tail as the water expanded, on the 2nd attempt I didn't fill completely and just had a tiny lump. 3. It is extremely easy to pour the water into the mould, a funnel is not necessary. 4. It is VERY easy to get the ice out of the mould. 5. The ice balls last much longer than normal ice cubes.Overall. although still early days, I think it is a great product and a very easy to use. Thank you !

Today we used these for the first time. The generous and perfect balls of ice they produced are aesthetically pleasing, and fun too. We chose individual ones because we can tuck them here and there in the freezer. The molds seem strong and are of a rubbery material that is pleasant to handle. We like them so much that we've just bought two more.

I got a nice shaped ice. Bear in mind, its a little tricky to get it out of mold but overall please with the result.
