Better than I expected
This one was a big hit with my 7yr old. He is a little engineer and we have gotten a lot of different engineering and building kits over the years. This one I like because he could do almost all of it by himself. The activities were fun and engaging. There is a battery and a switch and a motor, and then a bunch of different attachments for him to make a bunch of small machines. Vacuum, dryer, massager, fan, motor boat...those are some I can remember. Overall, a good price for fun activities he could do himself, learn some concepts, and take up severals days of engagement.

Super fun!
My 6 year old tore into this project on his own and definitely needed some assistance to put things together correctly. He did some experimenting though and learned a bunch just from fiddling around. It can be time consuming to be involved with but overall it was a good value for the money.

Defunct Product that I can not return
Update:The seller sent a replacement that works just fine. Great customer support!----I bought this several months ago for my kid and was waiting for the right time to open it.Today, I opened it to realize I bought an already-opened package with missing components. The motor and battery components did not work, which means I can not do anything with this piece of garbage.

Pieces don’t fit together, bad instructions
Terrible! Doesn’t work! First issue was the instructions just have pictures and don’t truly label the pieces - not a huge deal, they’re all simple enough projects.First we tried the balloon boat. The pieces were slightly different than the pieces in the pictures but we figured it out - the directions talk about angling the straw to change the direction of the boat - but the hole in the boat is straight up and down, our straw could not be angled no matter how much we tried, and our boat went nowhere! Then we tried the motorized boat. Small issue, the cutouts are slightly different than pictured, as is the design of the motor. Now the big issue - We got it all assembled and my daughter was having a hard time attaching the propeller straw to the motor. I figured it just needed to be shoved on there tight, so I tried and tried and no matter what, it falls off. I tried electrical tape, it falls off. Looking through the instructions, this setup (the straw + motor) is used in most of the projects! So these components not fitting together is a huge deal. I hot glued them and it looks like it might hold for a little while under very gentle pressure, but really this is ridiculous. Waste of money, disappointed kids, and discouraged mom. Don’t waste your time and money on this poorly designed kit.

Happy little engineer and happy mom
The directional both are clear and unclear at the same time. In example things are not always clearly labeled or it's hard to know if you grabbed the right straw, etc. but there are so many photos that you can eventually figure it out by comparing size to other components of the project. That being said we've done at least 7 projects and it's been one of the best kits I've gotten so far because the wires snap together easily and the projects are simple enough for my 5 year kid to mostly do by himself (with supervision)In a few cases things were tight fits like the motor but I found if I put the motor nose first into the pop it worked just fine.

Fun, but not the best quality
I gave this to my six-year-old nephew. He did enjoy the concept of the stem activities, but he did have difficulty finding the pieces. There were a lot of pieces that looked alike, and weren’t labeled effectively. The quality isn’t the best. It is tough to attach things together, without it falling apart. We follow the directions in the booklet, but when trying to detach the pieces, some things were falling apart. I had to personally get my hot glue gun to fix some of the items in the kit. There were also some activities in the booklet that did not work effectively, so overall, I would rate this a three out of five stars. Quality could be improved, like the foam pieces, and wooden paddles. But other lessons were fun. You could even make a massage gun and a fan!Only thing is, for every lesson/activity that you do, you have to deconstruct it, in order to make a different activity. Almost all of the activities use the same motor, and paddle.
