Can a novice install these? the youtube videos has a lot delicate looking wires to remove and attach

Yes, ahead of installing, you could get the youtube tutorial on youtube by searching “Extremerate PS5 Controller Buttons” to watch it several times, then assembling by following it step by step.

L2/r2 work fine until i install backplate? then they stay pushed down? model number on my controller matches for the pieces i ordered.

The L2 and R2 have there own tiny motors and if you took them apart there's a special way they have to be put back together or they won't work properly. YouTube it.

It says not compatible with bdm-020, is that all the buttons? or some? which ones do and which do not work on 020? i only want the triggers to work.

Some of the buttons don't work with bdm-020, but the compatible buttons will be released soon, please stay tuned!
