Amazon Basics Metal Platform Bed Frame with Wood Slat Support, Under-Bed Storage, 6 inches High, Full, Black

Like many buyers, I read the WORST reviews FIRST, then the good ones, check the dates to see if problems were old or newer and analyze the bad ones. I decided on this bed frame. This went together SUPERBLY! The picture instructions were understandable, all the bolts fit the holes and hand screwed in before tightening with the supplied allen wrenches (which also fit perfectly in the bolt heads, nice and deep) . I read one review that showed the middle bar twisting - that's because the buyers (who showed a picture) had the 2 side edges of the frame on the floor but the middle bar was on a rug....so it was like a three legged stool...only two of the three could touch the ground at once...so their weight shifted to one edge but that middle bar is designed ONLY for VERTICAL LOADS...so the one side slipped on the floor (as the other wasn't touching much at all), and over she went. ALL the bottom bars and the FEET on the middle bar MUST be on the same surface (that should be in the description quite frankly), be it the floor or the rug. Each of the 2 sections of slats were connected with Velcro strips which mated with the velcro on the side bars. Easy Piezy. I was so impressed I had to write this review. It comes in a REALLY LONG BOX, best for 2 to handle and ours did get torn abit at one end, but everything was there. One happy camper here! By the way, at only 6 inches high, there is little you can shove under the bed. In our case I had a 6 inch high box that I had to store below the bed.....it went in before the slats....and in our case, this box needed the maximum distance between the middle bar's feet to fit....and it did. Other frames just didn't have the opening we needed.....this one was perfect...now I don't need to access the box very much so that's the rest of the story. At six inches with the bars all being about 1 inch square, you have only about 4-1/4 inches to squeeze between the bars (except at the ends where in the middle the curved bar gives you a little more for some distance. One thing I can criticize is there is a slat gap at both the head and feet....I'd like to see that be addressed as an AIR MATTRESS does protrude downward thru the gap.....now there's not much weight on the bed NORMALLY in those areas, but still rubbing is occurring all the time. Over all a 4.99 out of 5.

This frame is sleek and sturdy. The wood slats provide great support, and it’s easy to assemble. Perfect for small spaces or minimalist setups.

This is a nice little bed for kids, but too low and the slats are too weak for larger adults. I put 4x4's under it to raise it somewhat and also added a plywood headboard. I worry that if I sit down on it too hard that the slats will crack. I'm just under the 250 lb. stated limit for it (which I didn't see stated in their ad) and feel wary of the supports giving way. Luckily, I have a full size bed in another room. Still this is a decent buy as an extra bed since it's sturdy enough for kids (if they don't jump!) and small and light enough to move when needed.

This is perfect for toddler floor beds! We were looking for a solution that wasn't too high off the ground so our toddler won't get hurt if he rolls off the bed, but also was high enough to prevent mold from growing on the undersides of mattresses. This is the only product we found on amazon that was 6 inches. In addition, the assembly is intuitive, easily done even by one person. There is even the wonderful detail of the corners being rounded as an added feature of lessening the chance of kiddo getting hurt. It comes with bed slats that velcro onto the base and feel very sturdy - no movement at all even when kiddo is jumping on the bed. We use it as a platform with the mattress directly on top. No attachment for headboard in case that is something you're looking for.

I accidentally got a full size instead of a queen size. That was my fault because I thought my mattress was a full. Instead of returning it and getting a new one, I decided to deal with it. Honestly, I love my silly little mistake. My bed looks like it’s floating now. I’ve never had an issue with the size difference and it holds very well if you know what I mean. It was very easy to assemble and I didn’t need any help. Good product and fair price.

Great for a bargain frame. Looks nice & is lightweight enough to be easily moved for cleaning, etc. Downside is the wooden slats are a bit more pliable than ideal so if you are too rough on it or on the weightier side they & the interior metal lip which holds them can bow enough that they fall through. The adhesive used to hold everything together is pretty strong but once it separates & the slats fall through it can be a little tricky to get everything back together. That said, since we reassembled ours & adjusted our use, there have been no more issues. That's definitely a win. All in all worth the buy but if you want a supportive bed you may need a sturdy box spring for a more stable base (ours was purchased for just a memory foam mattress & can feel a bit flimsy as a result). If your people aren't over 200 lbs or aren't jumping or plopping down hard on it you will probably be fine.

Bought this for my teen son. It was on sale, so it was a very good value at the time. It is sturdy and was easy to assemble. It replaced a captain's bed base, as he kept over stuffing the drawers. I bought some under the bed containers which fit easily under this bed and hold a lot. Because the containers are very visible due to the style of this bed, it's not that attractive, but it is very functional and stuff is easy to access and slide the containers in and out.

Complete garbage. Plastic pads that go on top of the corner metal brackets become brittle and fall apart over time. This causes the metal to rub on the floor instead of the robber feet. Caused damage to my wooden floors before I noticed it

Easy to assemble, very sturdy, quiet and nice and low to the ground still. I could improve nothing about this product.

Looked hard for a frame with wooden slats and the slight raise on the ends and a strong frame with storage.... TADA and all at a great price!

Léger et très facile d’installation! Pas besoin d’outils particulier, les instructions sont claires. Base parfaite pour éviter l’humidité sous le matelas, et donc lui donner une meilleure durée de vie.

This base platform full sized bed was just what we needed. Our old full sized bed was too high for us to get into due to our health conditions. We both have physical disabilities, I myself have a spinal condition, my wife has a hip and leg condition which made it hard for us to get in and out of. This new bed was the answer to our health issues, very comfortable, very easy to get in and out of, closer to the floor and the gravitational pull, which height makes a considerable amount of difference all way round.
