Great for all levels of artists
Got these for my daughter as she has really been developing her skills. She loves them. A lot of reviewers mention how bulky they are because of the shader portion of the marker but that doesn’t have to be left on while using so it really is about the length of a regular marker. She loves the ability to get such a great variety of shades with this one set. The box it comes with is great for storing them and works as carry case so it cuts down on packaging waste. The number of shades you get with this set is incredible. Did I say that already? We thought it was a great value but it gets better when you see how well they work. Similar to the copics result wise. Works great in conjunction with watercolor pencils like most alcohol based markers. I used to use prisma then copic but these are a great value for similar results. The one tip I would give is to really practice for a little bit with getting the shader portion down. For bigger gradient areas of your piece you may want to look into getting the graded, individual markers, but 90% of the time these do everything you need.

Amazing quality! Great markers!
These markers are AMAZING! Easy to learn to use and incredibly beautiful! The packaging is perfect and just ugh I wish I had gotten these sooner! One note, though - you'll probably want all the color tops, too, to fully enjoy them. I only have 4 packs of the color tops so far but they make it 1000x better! I'm still learning how to use them so I may not be the best (and I've only had them for a couple days) but you can definitely tell I'm improving as the days go by! If you're wondering if they're worth it, I'm here to tell you they are!!!Art in the pictures on this review are by me, and are of original characters.

The best alcohol markers for the best value / price!
These are magic! These markers create beautiful gradients and when not using the chamber, they're just as beautiful. The colors are ridiculously pigmented and so useable! I actually like these more than Copic markers, but unfortunately they only have these 50 colors :( but! The value is crazy too. Any other set with this number of markers would be way more and there's no other alcohol marker like these! They're comfortable to hold, they're juicy and the color IS NOT streaky at all. These are the best. You need to at least try these because I'm still blown away after a month of having them. Oh and the packaging is soooo nice and thoughtful. The packaging is a gorgeous case with a fold down stand to allow you see the markers and pull them out easily. Oh! And it comes with a colorless blender and a double sided detail pen. Absolutely the best!

Excellent professional markers that deliver what they promise.
I ordered this set based on weeks of researching what seemed like every alcohol marker known to man. I chose Chameleon and I am completely satisfied with every aspect of this product. The markers fit my average-sized female hands and they are well-balanced and comfortable to hold and use. I had no trouble opening the toner tube or removing the covers on the marker tips. The color-coded tops make it easy to see what color and color family is in each marker. There is slight bleed-through on #80 Neenah Solar White but not anything that transferred to the underlying paper. The "Baby Blue" marker that others reported as being empty seemed fine in the set I received -- it closely matched the color top on the pen. I put the professional quality of these markers against Copics and the color chambers and nibs are also refillable/replaceable.

Love these pens
Love these pens!I have the entire set of Copic Sketch markers, and this little set of 52 chameleon pens can do everything the Copics can and even some things they can't! I can't get the smooth gradations with Copics that I can with Chameleon. I can't always get different tones in the same color family the way chameleons can. I can't color a stamp with only three markers like chameleon can...the list goes on.I adore my copic markers, don't get me wrong. But the chameleon pens are a welcome addition to my art supplies. I had priced these pens before and read some (non-Amazon) reviews that steered me away from them. I saw an ad on Facebook that showed the markers in action and decided to try them out. I'm glad I did.The pros:-the set of 52 comes with a case that converts to a works stand-the chameleon website has tons of tutorials and free downloads if you join the creative community. They only send a newsletter once per month-no spam!-they also offer beginner, intermediate & advanced online classes for new users-the colors are super easy to use!-the gradations are perfect. No seams, no constant blending, and no need to use 3 or even 5 pens to get the effect you want-super easy to do shadows-great for when you want to really highlight a light source-just fun to use-soon will have the addition of "color tops" so you can make effortless two color blends-set comes with blender pen, detail pen and replacement nibs-they are made to be compatible with other alcohol markers so you can use them with your Copics (or prismas, promarkers, spectrum noirs, etc)Cons:-im not a fan of the brush nib. It is a true brush nib unlike what I'm used to with Copics. I feel like they tend to fray too much too quickly (some fraying is expected but I've already replaced several on my most used colors).-the gradation goes from light to dark, so sometimes it is hard to go back over an area and get the same blend as before. On these areas, I often use the blender pen and touch it to the color nib so I can get a dark-to-light blend. -there is a learning curve if you're used to any other brand of alcohol marker. if you're used to Copics you will need to take the time to watch some tutorials! So, way more pros than cons. I really enjoy these pens; if you love having options and love gradients and shading in coloring you'll want these pens!
