Unless you're going for a distressed look, we don't recommend using crayons as they will create pock marks and the color might not evenly distribute. Acrylic paint is ideal for adding color to your craft foam.

Affix quilting fork pins or u-shaped hooks to the foam and then thread string, organza ribbon, jute twine, leather strands, or suede cord. You can also use a quilting needle to thread fine yarn or twine directly through the shape.

It depends. Certain spray paints can erode craft foam over time. Acrylic paint is ideal to add color to your craft foam.
