My dog is picky with his food and does better with capsules in peanut butter rather than chewable medications. He has struggled with elevated liver enzymes since he was a puppy, and has had to be coaxed to eat; typical of liver shunts that sometimes occur in his breed (Havanese).I’m trying to get/keep his enzymes down, so in addition to changing his food, I give him one of these every morning. Coupled with his food and this medicine, I can tell he feels better and his liver enzymes are staying at a much more manageable level. I am impressed with the results and plan to keep using them.Update: It’s been a couple of months now since my dog started taking these supplements regularly along with his liver-support food, and he’s been doing consistently better with this regimen. Sometimes after eating things that aren’t part of his regular diet, he clearly doesn’t feel well and also needs Sam-e. On those days, the Sam-e coupled with this milk thistle seem to help him feel more like eating within a few hours. For the most part though, his liver support food and this milk thistle seem to keep him pretty well regulated.I’m so grateful there are herbal supplements like this out there that help to support my dog’s general liver health.

These are very small treats that help with digestive issues. I have noticed less gas and belching for our 70lb dog using just three small treats a day. Not sure why, but they have worked for us. I would not call them "soft" chews though they aren't hard like kibble. Then again, I have a chow hound who is not very picky when it comes to anything edible. I do recommend you try them if you have a dog that has some tummy issues, but certainly if there is anything serious like vomiting or diarrhea, consult your vet!

Our dog really likes these digestives and we give her 2-3 a day (she is a chihuahua). She is delighted when we give these to her. She has chronic IBS and gets terribly sick often, so anything digestive supporting is welcome by us.

It works great if your animals will eat them. For some reason mine won't touch them now.

An excellent, all around probiotic. I have used this for many years, and recommend it to friends. Since many vets prescribe antibiotics for everything, often picking this up as soon as antibiotics are finished will help normalize the gut flora.There are many strains of helpful bacteria, and not all are well tolerated, but I've never had issues with this particular one (I also use the chews when travelling) and it's very affordable. That makes a real difference if you have a pet with immune issues, colitis, etc. since it is best to keep them on a low dose in the long term.There is a lot of current research (in people, but should apply in general) that indicates far reaching positive effects from having healthy, balanced flora in the gut - and lots of theories about what negative things can happen as a result of the opposite. In all, it's a great go-to solution for digestive and allergy issues, and sometimes can make a huge difference.

Our 11 year old Shitzu, Gracie, had very low energy, constipation and she could no longer climb our stairs. I took her to the veterinary clinic and after a full blood panel that came back normal they of course wanted to do a CT scan. I've paid for unnecessary scans before and opted instead to use some common sense. I thought to work on boosting her "digestive health." That's when I discovered Ark Naturals Gentle digest soft chews. These little chews made a huge change in her activity level. It appears she likes the flavor because she takes it easily like a treat. Gracie can now climb the stairs, she dances around for her meals, she runs around at the park and she plays with her toys again. It makes me sad to think her tummy just wasn't feeling well but now she's back to her old self. The difference is truly amazing.

Great buy cheap but they really work. I give my dog 2 in the mornings.

I have used these for years now. My complaint is that some packs are dry or seemed to be on the shelf a long time. Dry treats crumble and make a powder in the bottom of my dog treat bag. The bag I just opened is of the dry sort and started to crumble immediately when I opened it. If I could purchase fresh treats I would or send the treats back unopened. I don't know, can't know, without an expiration date or date of manufacture on the package. It might also be inconsistent quality of manufacture. Bottom line the dry ones should not be sold in my opinion.
