I like that you can use this one stop for all the Snappy countersink bits. The Snappy tools products aren’t cheap, but you get good quality. I experienced a small issue with my product, but a quick email to Snappy customer support and they sent me a replacement part very quickly.

It is effective for consistant depth counter bores and does not at all marr the wood surface. The clamping mechanism is clever. But when setting the depth for the screw heads flush to the wood surface, the clamp is not fully on the counter bore shaft. This is particularly a problem for smaller size screws. The stop on mine was not square the counter bore shaft. This doesn't effect operation but interfers with depth setup. The special set screw is a loose small part and I'm not sure about not losing it.It's functional but on the price of tool setup is worthwhile only for a large run of screws

This depth stop is a must have for Snappy countersinks. Set the depth once and you don't have to worry about the stop slipping. Creates professional results and speeds up the process of getting your countersinks just the right depth.

Easy to set-up, stays fixed in position and doesn't mar the surface of your project providing you do not press down to hard. Highly recommend!

seems to be pretty decent, and i got a set of snappy bits to go with it. extra bonus that it fits rocklers insty bits.

Snappy makes great drilling kits. I rated this a 4 instead of a 5 because the longer set screw needed to lock the drill itself had a shallow chamfer on it and it bottomed out before locking the drill bit. It needed substantial filing to form a more pointed tip so that it locked the drill bit tight before bottoming out on threads. Other than that, its a great accessory.

I have been a long time user of Snappy. NOT any more. Tired of their marketing "tricks", which this product is a GREAT example. This depth stop does NOT work with ANY of the old countersink bits from Snappy. They couldn't actually design something that doesn't cause you to have to buy a whole new set of countersink bits? Guess I'm the stupid one because I didn't read the description .... but then, NEVER heard of the "gold screw" countersink bits. Stupid me assumed that something made by Snappy for their countersink bits would fit their countersink bits.But no, they devised a way to make more sales and cause you to have to buy a whole new set of countersink bits. SHAME on you Snappy.Use the ingenuity you used to make the original Snappy bit line to make a collar that will fit the OLD bits. Oh, that's right, but that won't cause us to have to buy more of your products! I'm dumping my Snappy bits. Amana, and others have MUCH BETTER QUALITY now. You are a has been unfortunately.

This is a very well designed add on for you Snappy countersink drill bit.It’s relatively easy to install and most importantly it stays put while using.It stays flush to the work piece & doesn’t move like the cheaper Chinese knock-offs.

The product is misleading in the pictures. You would think your getting a counter sink drill bit with collar. All the pictures show one in it. But nope just the collar.
