No, it is just basically a giant sticker that is able to be used with dry erase markers.

Would you feel comfortable putting this in a asthmatic toddler's room? One reviewer said it has an odor. Thanks!

I would feel comfortable using it. It had a slight paint smell when I first pulled it out of the packaging but it was gone within a few days and shouldn't have any negative health effects. I have one in my son's room and will likely get another one that is a full calender for my room next (I have always had asthma problems and this didn't cause any reaction for me).

will this stick to a wooden door?

It sticks great BUT IT WILL STRIP THE WOOD WHEN YOU TRY TO REMOVE IT! I use mine everyday so it's worth having but, it did pull the wood off of my door when I tried moving it.
