I kept this camera installed but I had to remove my license plate frame because the camera sticks out like 3mm too far. I even took a set of washers out hoping to allow enough clearance but nope. It was putting too much pressure on the plastic frame so I didn't want to risk it breaking during install or later. I may find a way to paint my plate instead with black a border because I don't think I'll find any thinner plate frames.

Doesn’t fit 2006 E90. I had to cut off the camera and connect it on to my old handle. Cheaply made product. The handle mechanism broke off when installing on my car. Got camera to work. After retrofitting it.
