This smaller tripod is amazing. The materials, the fit and finish, the sturdiness and usability of it are first rate.Yes, it's more expensive than other small tripods, but you get what you pay for and this will hold a lot of weight without being too big and heavy. I haven’t had a chance to use this in the field yet, but the quality of the build seems pretty good and I like how compact it is with the ability to extend the legs. It also has an adaptable 1/4 or 3/8 thread for mounting your camera. I like the feature that allows it to splay the legs flat. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a compact tripod.

I bought their (Koolehaoda) other mini tripod MT-01 about a year ago and found it very sturdy and served my purpose well. Then recently I saw they have the MT-02 with leg extension and foam padded. They also have a nice looking ball head the E2 kind of matching their tripods well. So I decided to get them both. It turns out that they are indeed a perfect match and I absolutely love them and would recommend these products, at least what I purchased, to anyone. Seems to me that their other products are also well built at a reasonable price. You may see the photos from my same review on their E2 Ball head + Panoramic head.

Used this as a base for a 360 degree camera monopod. Because the legs extend it makes everything more stable. Well built. I like the automatic adaptor for 1/4" to 3/8" thread.

this was what I was looking for how, except the top part doesn't allow you to swivel up and down. in stead you have to adjust the legs unevenly to get the desired tilt.
